Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for pouring out your heart so honestly before the Lord. The pain, the attacks, the long waiting, and the love you have for your family are all evident, and God sees and hears every part of it. He invites you to trust Him and not lean on your own understanding, even when circumstances feel overwhelming and broken.
The greatest need you lifted up is salvation, and Scripture puts that first for a reason. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. His name itself means the Lord is salvation, for He came to save His people from their sins. The promise is that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. To confess Him now, to submit to Him as Lord now, is unto salvation and eternal life. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord, but that confession then will not be unto salvation. It will be an acknowledgment of what was rejected. That is why the Word urges us so strongly, now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Do not put off His offer. Do not receive the grace of God in vain.
This salvation is entirely of grace. It has been placed outside our own ability so that no one can earn it. It rests on what Christ has done, and even the faith to believe it is a gift from God. It is a great salvation, open to whosoever will come. Jesus said He will not cast out anyone who comes to Him, and it reaches even the lowest sinner. It began to be spoken by the Lord Himself, and He is the captain and originator of our salvation who suffered to bring many sons and daughters into glory as part of God's family. Because it is so great, there is no escape if we neglect it. That is why we pray with urgency for each member of your family, that each one would personally receive this gift today.
For those who have already believed, the Word says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. That does not mean to work for your salvation, as if you could earn it. It means to live out with reverence and diligence what God has already worked within you, knowing that it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure. Walk in that dependence daily.
You also asked for protection, and the Lord is indeed your refuge and shield. He promises to be a wall of fire around His people, that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and that no weapon formed against you will finally prosper. You can rest in His covering under the shadow of His wings, and in the truth that if God is for us, who can be against us. He is your defender in every attack and abuse you have faced.
You asked for healing, deliverance, and restoration. Scripture shows that Christ bore our sins and our infirmities, and Matthew applies the prophecy of Isaiah to both spiritual and physical healing. When we remember His body broken for us, we remember that provision. At the same time, healing in this life comes in different ways. Sometimes it is instant, sometimes it is gradual, sometimes it is through the natural processes God Himself created, and sometimes God in His wisdom allows a thorn to remain for a season as He did with Paul, to teach deeper dependence. In every case, the greatest miracle remains the salvation of the soul, the forgiveness of sins. Hold fast to that while you continue to ask faithfully for healing of bodies, minds, and emotions, for the healing of trauma, rejection, and wounds of the heart. God is able to heal scars in the mind and emotions as truly as He heals the body, and He is not confined to one pattern.
You prayed for new hearts, for love poured into your hearts, for the fruit of the Spirit, and for restoration of what seems hopelessly broken. God promises to give a new heart and put a new spirit within, to pour His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, and to restore the years that have been lost. Through Christ, who became a curse for us, every curse is broken and turned to blessing for those who are in Him. He restores the soul and leads us in the way of reconciliation. That ministry of reconciliation calls us to deny the self centered life, take up the cross, and walk in the life of the Spirit. As you seek unity and reconciliation in your family, that walk in the Spirit, with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and all the fruit He produces, is the path He will use.
For the many specific concerns you mentioned for family members, for school and teachers, for work and responsibilities, for sleep and daily needs, we bring them before the Lord asking for His supernatural help, wisdom, confidence rooted in Him, and favor. Where you mentioned relationships that have been disastrous and dysfunctional, we pray as Scripture teaches, that God would be glorified through relationships that honor His design. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and intimacy belongs within that covenant. We do not ask God to bless what falls outside His design, but we do ask Him to deliver, to heal wounds, to bring conviction where needed, to protect from harmful entanglements, and to lead toward purity, wholeness, and either godly marriage or godly singleness according to His will. We pray He will rebuke what is not of Him and bring healing and clear guidance to each person involved.
Thank you for also confessing where you spoke against others and felt explosive anger and fear. God is faithful to forgive when we confess. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us. Bring those moments to Him, receive His forgiveness, and ask Him to help you respond with kindness and self control by His Spirit.
For your desire to serve through prayer gatherings, devotions, worship, and sharing the Word, we ask the Lord to anoint, protect, and guide you. May He give you wisdom, fill you with His Spirit, and work in the hearts of others to seek Him together. May His love prevail in every situation, including where you have felt overlooked or in conflict, and may He bring encouragement and breakthrough in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Father, thank You for Your grace that brings salvation. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would save each member of this family, that each one would confess Jesus as Lord and believe You raised Him from the dead. Pour Your love into their hearts, give them new hearts and new minds, and cause them to walk in the fruit of Your Spirit. Be their protection, their wall of fire, their refuge, and command Your angels to guard them. Break every curse through the cross of Christ and restore what has been broken. Heal bodies, minds, and deep wounds as You will, and help them to trust You while they wait. Deliver from harmful relationships and lead each life into holiness and Your perfect will. Forgive sin where it has been confessed, cleanse and strengthen, and grant supernatural trust and faith. Provide for school, work, sleep, and every daily need, and anoint every time of prayer, worship, and sharing Your Word for Your glory and for the salvation of others. We ask this in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.
Continue to look to Jesus, the captain of your salvation. He who began this good work will be faithful to complete it.
