Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer reflects a sincere desire for Jesus to be glorified in your family and that is the right heart. God hears when His people call upon Him in trouble, and He has promised to answer and to deliver. He also promises protection to those who trust in Him and declares that no weapon formed against His people will finally succeed.
What you are describing is at its root a spiritual conflict. The deepest battles are not against people or circumstances that we can see. They surround us in the unseen realm, and often we feel the strain of that conflict in our thoughts, emotions, and even in our bodies without understanding why. For that kind of battle, ordinary human methods are not enough. God has given spiritual resources for spiritual warfare, His Word, faith in Christ, and prayer. Much of the struggle centers on the mind, on what we believe, what we dwell on, and where we place our trust. To be aware of this helps us to turn to the right weapons and to stand firm.
You mentioned pleading the blood of Jesus, and you explained it as faith in Him as the spotless Lamb who takes away sin and cleanses us. That is the biblical meaning. Forgiveness and cleansing come only through His sacrifice. In the same way, asking for angelic protection and for the Holy Spirit to guard you, including your thoughts and emotions, is a way of asking God to do what Scripture says He does, to watch over His people and to be a refuge for them.
A central burden in your prayer is salvation for your family and relatives. Scripture ties salvation directly to the grace of God. Grace has appeared bringing salvation, and it comes to us not because we can earn it but because of what Jesus has done. He alone is our salvation, and His name means the Lord saves. Salvation comes when a person confesses with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. It is a gift received by faith, not achieved by works. We do work out what God has already worked in us, living it out with reverence, but we do not work for salvation. Today is the day to respond. Scripture urges us not to delay, because our eternal destiny rests on receiving what God has offered in Christ. Continue to pray that God will open the hearts of your unsaved loved ones to the gospel, and keep sharing that good news with gentleness and without giving unnecessary offense, so that the message is heard clearly.
You also asked for healing and deliverance from bondage, addictions, compulsions, spasms, trauma, rejection, and burnout, and for help with school, tests, friendships, and work. God does heal. Sometimes He heals instantly, sometimes gradually, and sometimes through the natural processes He has built into our bodies, which are still His provision. Yet healing remains something we do not fully understand, and we cannot claim that God wills physical healing in every case in this life. Even the apostle Paul prayed repeatedly for a painful affliction to be removed and learned that God had a different purpose in allowing it to remain. What we can affirm without hesitation is that the greatest miracle in any life is salvation, the forgiveness of sins and new life in Christ. That miracle is greater than any physical relief. So we pray for healing with faith, trusting the God who does wonders, and we also trust His wisdom when His answer is different from what we expect.
Your request to block what is not good and to stop relationships that are dysfunctional and outside of God's design is right to bring before Him. God calls marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and calls His people to purity in all relationships. It is good to pray that He will save those involved and prevent what would lead them further into harm, not to ask Him to bless what He has called sin. Pray instead for salvation, for deliverance, for a renewed mind, and for friendships and relationships that encourage faith.
You mentioned failing often, venting about others, and needing mercy, wisdom, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That honesty is important. God's mercies are new every morning, and when we confess sin He is faithful to forgive and cleanse. Where words have hurt others, it is right to seek forgiveness and, where possible, to make it right, and to turn that situation into an opportunity for blessing. Ask God to help you love Him first, to obey Him, and to be filled with His Spirit, and He will give wisdom for decisions, work, meetings, planning, and caring for others. You can do nothing of eternal value apart from Him, but with Him you can walk in peace even while battles continue around you.
Keep bringing your burdens to Him as you have been. Jesus taught that God hears the persistent prayers of His people and will act in His time and way. Keep standing on His promises, using the spiritual weapons He has given, dwelling in His Word, holding fast in faith, and continuing in prayer. He is able to guard, to heal, to deliver, to provide friends and favor where needed, to strengthen faith in your children and in yourself, to bring peace to your home and direction for your work, and above all to save those who call upon His name.
May the Lord draw each member of your family to Himself, deliver those in bondage, heal what is wounded, guard your minds and hearts, provide for your daily needs, and fill you with His Spirit so that your lives display His grace. May He turn what the enemy intended for harm into good, and give you clear encouragement that He hears and is at work.
