Beloved of All
We join you in asking that the Lord Jesus be glorified in your family and we thank Him with you for what He has already done and for the encouragements He has given.
We bring before Him your plea for salvation, healing, deliverance and protection for your entire family including relatives. We agree with you that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, the perfect spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and cleanses us from all sin, and that it is His mercy that has delivered us. As Scripture teaches, He came not to judge the world but to save the world, and His death is the salvation of the world. Now is the acceptable time and now is the day of salvation, so we pray that every unsaved family member would have their heart opened to the gospel today and would turn to Him in repentance and faith while the time is given.
We ask the Lord for His protection over you according to His promises in Psalm 91 and Psalm 50:15 and Isaiah 54:14-17, that He would keep you in His care and be your refuge and that you would know His peace. We ask that He would deliver from all bondage, addictions and compulsions and from everything that is not of Him, and that He would block what is not good and act with wisdom and mercy in the difficult situations you are facing. We also pray that where there is suffering, you would know the comfort that works through patient enduring, and that affliction would lead to deeper comfort and salvation in Christ.
We lift up the specific needs you mentioned for school, for work, for health and for relationships. We pray for the one who needs friends at school, for help with tests and understanding, for growth in faith and assurance that God hears prayer, and for healing from spasms and other physical needs you listed. We pray for strength and healing for those who are burned out and wounded, and for restoration where relationships have been hurt.
Where you have asked God to put a stop to a relationship and to block a dysfunctional relationship, we do not ask God to bless what is outside His design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and intimacy belongs within it. Instead we pray as you did to save them, to bring conviction of sin, repentance and new life in Christ, to remove strongholds and lies, to break what is not holy and to lead each person into purity, wholeness and obedience to Him. If a relationship cannot be made right before God in that holy covenant, we pray He would graciously separate and redirect each life toward His will.
We also hear your confession that you have spoken badly about others and vented in anger, and we thank God that His mercies are new every morning. We pray with you for forgiveness, for a heart that loves Him first and obeys Him, for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, for wisdom and guidance in every meeting, task and decision at work and in ministry, including prayer gatherings, outreaches, sermons and serving with children. Hearing the word is not sufficient for salvation alone, but we need also to do it with fortitude and with a heart freed from the cares of this world, continually remembering and practicing what He teaches.
We ask the Lord to give you wisdom to respond well, to turn what was meant for evil into good, to expose what needs to be exposed in truth and love, and to bring breakthrough and encouragement. May He help you to repent of anything that grieves Him, to be filled with His Spirit, to love Him above all, and to walk in His way with a clear conscience.
We continue to pray that God would anoint your times of prayer, that His word would sink deep and bear fruit, and that many would be drawn to salvation through your witness. We trust Him to hear and to answer according to His perfect mercy and truth.
