Lord help

Carrielynn won’t go to bed. I pray her iPad is working, but she needs her sleep. Lord, help make her better choices. Pray ### get a job close to or at college. He’s done with school. This week and then college on Jan. I pray he stay focused and work hard and save his money. Pray ### legs stop bothering her and she get her rest at night.

We lift up these concerns before the Lord, trusting in His perfect will and timing for each situation. First, let us address the importance of invoking the name of Jesus in prayer, for it is through Him alone that we approach the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is in His name we find authority, grace, and the assurance that our prayers are heard. Without calling upon Jesus, our prayers lack the power and access granted only through Him. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).

For ###, we pray that the Lord would grant her a spirit of obedience and self-discipline. The Bible reminds us that *"children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right"* (Ephesians 6:1, WEB). May she find joy in honoring this commandment and understand that rest is a gift from God, essential for her growth and well-being. We ask the Lord to soften her heart to make wise choices, turning away from distractions like the iPad when it is time to sleep. Let her find satisfaction in Him, knowing that *"the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"* (Proverbs 9:10, WEB). Father, help her parents guide her with patience and love, setting godly boundaries that reflect Your will for her life.

For the young man preparing for college, we thank the Lord for this new season and ask for His provision over employment. *"Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). May he seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). We pray for a job that not only meets his financial needs but also aligns with God’s purpose for his life. Grant him focus, diligence, and stewardship over the resources You provide, that he may save wisely and avoid the temptations of wastefulness or greed. Surround him with godly influences in college, and may he stand firm in his faith, *"not conforming to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of his mind"* (Romans 12:2, WEB).

For the woman struggling with pain in her legs and restless nights, we ask for the Lord’s healing touch. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). May she experience His comfort and restoration, finding peace in His presence even in the midst of discomfort. We rebuke any spiritual or physical affliction that seeks to steal her rest, declaring that *"by His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). Let her trust in His sovereignty, knowing that even in weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). We also encourage her to seek medical wisdom if she hasn’t already, for God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing.

Finally, we exhort all who are praying to remain steadfast in faith, remembering that *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Let us not grow weary in bringing our requests before the Lord, but may we do so with hearts aligned to His will, always lifting up the name of Jesus as our mediator and Savior. May each of these situations bring glory to God, drawing those involved closer to Him in dependence and worship.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these petitions with humble and expectant hearts. For ###, we ask for obedience and rest, that she may grow in wisdom and stature before You. For the young man entering college, we pray for provision, focus, and godly discipline as he steps into this new chapter. For the woman suffering with pain, we ask for healing and peace, that her body may be restored and her nights filled with Your comforting presence. Lord, let Your will be done in each of these lives, and may they experience Your goodness in ways that draw them nearer to You. Strengthen their faith, guard their hearts, and let them walk in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for ###, praying she finds the strength to prioritize her rest. Let's encourage her with God's promise, "I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety" (Psalm 4:8, WEB). May she trust in His care and find peace in His presence, even when her mind is active. Let's also remind her to seek her parents' guidance, as they too are seeking God's will for her life.

For the young man, as he transitions into college life, let's pray he finds contentment in his new season. "Godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:6, WEB). May he find joy in his work, whatever it may be, and trust that God will provide according to His perfect will.

And for the woman dealing with leg pain and restless nights, let's intercede with confidence, knowing that "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18, WEB). May she experience His healing touch and find comfort in His embrace.
