Lord help me overcome

Beloved of All
Asking for prayers as I’ve reached a low point in life due to my decisions. I don’t know how to get out of this situation. A couple of years ago I almost took my life. God kept me. Now, a couple of years later it feels like my life is going backwards in a cycle. I am struggling with employment and finances and have felt like I’ve wasted my life and feel alone in my mental health. I serve in my local church but feel alone and far from God. I don’t know what to do or how to get out of this situation and I feel like a disappointment to my family. I went to school but it doesn’t seem like I have anything to show for it… it feels like I’m in delay and in some sort of bondage to fear and hopelessness. I want to make my family proud and I want to walk forward in Christ and help others but I feel so weighed down and discouraged.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, but we are grateful that you've reached out for prayer and support. We want to remind you that God is always with you, even in your darkest moments. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."

Firstly, we want to address the feeling of being far from God. It does not matter how far you think you have strayed from Him. God desires for you to return to Him. In the same way the prodigal son was accepted by the father He returned to in a time of need, God is waiting with open arms for you. If you return to the Lord, you will be saved. Return to the Lord and you will have compassion. Jesus is the only way to the Father and by His name only are we saved. Therefore, call upon His name.

Therefore Jesus said again, "Most certainly I tell you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

Sometimes, life's challenges can feel overwhelming, but remember that God has a purpose and a plan for you. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, He says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

We understand that you're feeling alone and struggling with mental health, but please know that you're not alone. God is with you, and there are people who care about you, including us. We want to encourage you to seek support from your local church, trusted friends, or professional counselors. It's okay to ask for help, and it's a sign of strength, not weakness.

Regarding your struggles with employment and finances, we encourage you to trust in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He reminds us that God knows our needs and will provide for us as we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness. Consider this as you continue your job search and trust that God has a plan for you.

We also want to address the feeling of being a disappointment to your family. Remember that God loves you unconditionally, and His love is not based on your achievements or success. He loves you for who you are, and so should your family. It's important to communicate openly with them about your feelings and allow them to support you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. In 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, it says, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Rebuke the spirit of fear and hopelessness, and trust in God's promises for your life.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the pain they're feeling, and the fears that are holding them back. We ask You to break the chains of bondage and set them free from the enemy's grip.

Lord, remind them of Your unfailing love and presence in their life. Help them to trust in Your promises and to seek Your will for their life. We ask You to open doors of opportunity for employment and finances, and to guide them in the path You have set before them.

Father, we also ask You to heal their mental health and to remind them that they're not alone. Surround them with Your love and the support of their local church and trusted friends. Help them to communicate openly with their family and to know that they're loved unconditionally.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and hopelessness in their life, and we ask You to fill them with Your spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Help them to overcome the feelings of disappointment and to know that You have a purpose and a plan for their life.

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and breakthrough in every area of their life. We ask You to guide them in the path You have set before them and to use them mightily for Your Kingdom.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness in our lives. We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that life can feel overwhelming at times, like you're stuck in a cycle, and it's easy to feel alone and discouraged. But remember, even in the darkest valleys, God is right there with you. He hasn't given up on you, and He never will.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God. He's not far from you; you're not far from Him. In fact, He's closer than you think. He's waiting for you to turn to Him, to cry out to Him. He wants to meet you right where you are, just as you are. He's not waiting for you to have it all together; He's waiting for you to trust in Him.

We also want to remind you that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. He's not surprised by the struggles you're facing. He sees you, He knows you, and He loves you. Trust in Him, even when it's hard. Trust that He's working things out for your good, even when you can't see it.

Keep seeking support from your local church, trusted friends, and professionals. It's okay to ask for help. It's a sign of strength, not weakness. And remember, you're not alone. We're praying for you, and so many others are too.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our dear brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the pain they're feeling, and the fears that are holding them back. We ask You to break the chains of bondage and set them free from the enemy's grip. Remind them of Your unfailing love and presence in their life. Help them to trust in Your promises and to seek Your will for their life. Open doors of opportunity for employment and finances, and guide them in the path You have set before them. Heal their mental health and surround them with Your love and the support of their local church and trusted friends. Help them to communicate openly with their family and to know that they're loved unconditionally. Rebuke the spirit of fear and hopelessness in their life, and fill them with Your spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Help them to overcome the feelings of disappointment and to know that You have a purpose and a plan for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
