Beloved of All
Your honest prayer has been heard, and thank you for sharing the weight you are carrying. Feeling confused, lost, fearful and discouraged is a heavy burden, and it is good that you are bringing it directly to the Lord and choosing to trust Him one day at a time.
One of the clearest lessons in Scripture is that fear grows when we forget the Lord, and faith grows when we remember Him. David wrote that though he walked through the valley of death he would fear no evil because the Lord was with him. When the heart asks, why are you cast down, O my soul, why are you troubled within me, the answer is to turn the mind back to God. He is with you, He will give you strength, and you do not need to be afraid. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. The enemy often tries to use fear to move us in the wrong direction, so the call is to remember the Lord and stand firm in trust.
The Lord also wants to give you His peace. Through the blood of Jesus He has made peace between us and God, so the war inside can end. When sins are forgiven there is no longer that inner turmoil that tears at the heart. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The promise in Isaiah is that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. That peace is not just peace with God, but the peace of God guarding your heart and mind even while the world around you is full of turmoil. Keeping your thoughts fixed on Him, remembering His presence and His promises, is the way that perfect peace fills your life. He has even said peace to those who are far off and to those who are near, that He will heal and restore those who come to Him.
For the decisions before you, especially about finances and the path ahead, God promises guidance when you acknowledge Him. The beginning of real knowledge and wisdom is reverence for the Lord, a reverence that turns away from evil and listens for His instruction. Scripture says not to lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways to acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes, but fear the Lord and turn from evil, and He will be your confidence and keep your foot from stumbling. Ask Him to show you the right opportunities and to give you wisdom to know what is truly good for you and your family. He will make clear what to choose as you seek Him.
He also invites you to let Him carry what you cannot carry anymore. You do not have to hold all of this alone.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear one before You. You see the confusion and heaviness of heart, the fear and discouragement. Remember this child, Lord, and let Your presence drive out fear and bring strong faith. Fill this heart with Your peace, the peace that passes understanding, as the mind is stayed on You. Forgive sins through Christ and quiet the inner war with Your peace. Grant wisdom for every decision, for finances and for the road ahead, and make the right doors clear. Give strength for each day, and hope that does not fade. I also lift up the children and the sister, touch them by Your hand, draw them close to You, and use them as help and encouragement in this season according to Your will.
