We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt plea, lifting up your desire for peace and unity. It is clear you seek the Lord’s intervention in a situation that weighs heavily on your heart, and we join with you in earnest prayer, standing on the truth of God’s Word.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). It is the blood of Jesus, shed for us on the cross, that cleanses us from sin and gives us boldness to approach God’s throne (Hebrews 10:19-22). We are grateful you have called upon His name, for it is in His authority alone that our prayers are heard and answered.
We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to disrupt the peace and unity you are praying for. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against the name-calling and any words that do not align with the love and grace of Christ. The Bible tells us, *"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear"* (Ephesians 4:29). We pray that every word spoken in this situation would be seasoned with salt, bringing edification and peace (Colossians 4:6).
We also lift up your marriage, asking the Lord to surround it with a hedge of protection and a wall of fire, as you have prayed. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that your marriage would be a testimony of God’s love, faithfulness, and unity. May the Lord guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, shielding you from any attacks of the enemy that seek to divide or harm what God has joined together (Matthew 19:6).
Father God, we ask You to go before this family tomorrow. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). May Your presence be so tangible that strife and discord have no place. Soften hearts, Lord, and let compassion flow like a river. May Your love be the foundation upon which every interaction is built, and may unity prevail as they seek to honor You in all things.
We pray for protection over their coming and going, Lord. *"The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore"* (Psalm 121:8). Cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings may they find refuge (Psalm 91:4). Let no harm come near them, and may Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Are there areas where you may need to extend forgiveness or ask for it? Jesus taught us, *"If you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"* (Matthew 5:23-24). Unity begins with humility and a willingness to seek reconciliation.
Lastly, we pray that you would be a vessel of God’s love and peace in this situation. Let your words and actions reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May the Lord use you to bring healing and restoration, and may His glory be revealed in every aspect of this circumstance.
