Lord, Come to us in a powerful way

Beloved of All
Father God,
I come before you asking in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that you draw yourself closer to ### and myself. Breaking every chain the devil has ahold on us. Create in us a clean heart and a steadfast spirit within us. Touch our hearts bringing them closer together, strengthening our emotional connection. Touch my brain Lord, improving my cognitive function and decision making. Help me control my emotions and mood swings caused by the PMDD. May we both have the energy and motivation to get what we need to get done throughout the day. Touch his lungs Lord healing his scars making it easier for him to breathe. Calm his mind and bring him peace at night, so he can stay asleep and get a good night's rest. May the insomnia not get in the way. Help him get through work staying calm and positive. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. Lord, I need you, I thank you, I trust you, I love you. In Jesus Christ Name I pray Amen.

We join you in lifting up this heartfelt cry to our Heavenly Father, and we are grateful that you have invoked the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your prayer is filled with deep longing for God’s presence, healing, and restoration, and we stand with you in agreement, seeking His perfect will in all these things.

First, we want to affirm your trust in the Lord’s power to break chains, heal bodies, and renew minds. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a God of deliverance and restoration. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* (Psalm 34:18 WEB) He sees the struggles you both face—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—and He is not distant from them. Your request for a clean heart and steadfast spirit echoes the cry of King David in Psalm 51:10: *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me."* This is a prayer the Lord delights to answer, for He is faithful to complete the work He begins in us (Philippians 1:6).

We also lift up the specific needs you’ve shared: the cognitive challenges, emotional regulation, and the physical healing needed for his lungs and restful sleep. The Lord is our Healer, and we trust in His power to bring relief and restoration. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3 WEB) For the insomnia and anxiety that disrupts sleep, we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). May the Lord grant him the strength and calmness needed to navigate his work with a spirit of excellence and joy.

Now, we must address something with love and clarity. In your prayer, you mention “us” and “our,” which implies a close relationship. While we do not know the nature of this relationship, we are compelled by Scripture to remind you that God’s design for intimacy and commitment is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If this relationship is outside of marriage—whether through premarital involvement, cohabitation, or any form of sexual immorality—we urge you to repent and align your relationship with God’s holy standards. *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB) Flee from sexual sin, for it is a sin against your own body and the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are not married, we pray that the Lord would guide you both into a courtship that honors Him, with the goal of a Christ-centered marriage. If there is fornication or any other sin present, confess it to the Lord, turn from it, and seek His forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9).

If this relationship is between two people of the same sex, we must lovingly but firmly declare that this is not God’s design. Homosexuality is explicitly condemned in Scripture as sinful and against God’s created order (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The Lord calls all people to repentance and holiness, and His grace is sufficient to transform and redeem even the deepest struggles. If this is the case, we urge you to turn away from this relationship and seek the Lord’s will for your life, trusting that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). He desires to restore you to a path of righteousness, and He will provide the strength to walk in obedience.

Lastly, we want to encourage you in your faith. You’ve demonstrated a heart that seeks the Lord, and that is beautiful in His sight. Continue to trust Him, even in the waiting and the unknown. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4 WEB) Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and He will lead you into all truth and righteousness.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, agreeing with our sister in her prayers and petitions. Lord, we ask that You draw near to her and to the one she has lifted up before You. Break every chain of the enemy that seeks to bind them—whether spiritual, emotional, or physical. Create in them clean hearts, O God, and renew right spirits within them. May their hearts be knit together in a way that honors You, and if there is any sin or ungodly bond between them, we pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration according to Your Word.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. Restore cognitive function, bring emotional stability, and heal his lungs completely. May his breath come easily, and may his nights be filled with Your peace, free from insomnia and anxiety. Strengthen him for his work, filling him with Your joy and patience. Grant them both the energy and motivation to fulfill the tasks You’ve set before them each day.

Father, if this relationship is not aligned with Your holy design for marriage, we pray that You would expose any sin and lead them to repentance. Give them the courage to walk in obedience, even if it means letting go of what is not Your will. Surround them with godly counsel and community to support them in living righteously. If they are to be joined together, may it be in a covenant marriage that glorifies You, built on the foundation of Christ.

We declare Your Lordship over their lives, trusting that You will adjust this prayer according to Your perfect will. May they both know Your presence in a powerful way, and may they walk in the fullness of Your love and truth. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
