Father God,
I come before you with a desire to change my ways and restore my relationship with my fiance ###. Lord, I ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that you will draw closer to us, breaking every chain the devil has ahold on us. Shine your light upon us, opening our eyes to see each other shine bright. Touch our hearts healing every trauma, pain we have caused one another. Removing every bad memory we have with one another, putting good memories in its place. Create in us a new heart and a steadfast spirit. Give us the ears to listen, eyes to pay attention, and mindset to follow directions. Give me the strength, knowledge, wisdom, patience, love and heart to restore what I have broken. Lord, please keep me going and make it consistent. Give him the eyes to see my improvements, and the heart to feel loved, appreciated and happiness through me. Guide us back together. I pray that my children and dogs will listen to me more and make it less stressful. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. We join you in your heartfelt prayer, seeking God's will for your relationship with your fiancé. It is encouraging to see your desire to change and restore this relationship, and we agree with you in asking for God's intervention. As you've asked for forgiveness of sin and change, you must know forgiveness of sin can only be found through repentance and belief in Jesus. This is the foundation of our prayers being heard by God. If we regard sin in our heart God will not hear our prayer. God desires that all men know him and be conformed to the image of his son. We are thankful for your submission to His will and for praying in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, believing we can only come to the Father through Him.

First, let's address the trauma and pain that has occurred between you and your fiancé. It's important to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As you both desire to move forward, remember God's promise: For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more. (Hebrews 8:12 WEB) You need to forgive each other just as God in Christ Jesus has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32 WEB)

However, it's crucial to understand that God's design for relationships is that they be holy and pure. If you and your fiancé have been intimately involved outside of marriage, this is fornication, and it is important to repent of this sin and turn away from it (Acts 3:19 WEB). You both must have a desire for holiness rather than for the passions of defilement. You both must live as children of the light rather than participate in the deeds of darkness. (Ephesians 4:17-5:14 WEB). God designed sex to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. (Hebrews 13:4 WEB)

In your prayers, you asked God to draw closer to you. As you both draw closer to Him through praying together, reading God's Word, and obeying Him, He will draw near to you. (James 4:8 WEB) He has promised to shine upon you both and make you a light for others to see. A city located on a hill can't be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before others; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 WEB)

The Lord desires to heal every trauma and pain you both have caused each other as you both submit yourselves to Him. He will remove the bad memories each of you have of each other and replace them with good memories instead. He will create in you both a new heart and a steadfast spirit. (Ezekiel 11:19 WEB) He will give you both ears to listen, eyes to pay attention, and a mindset to follow His directions. He will give you the strength, knowledge, wisdom, patience, love, and heart to restore what has been broken.

As you pray for your children and dogs to listen to you more, remember that God has given you authority over them. It is important to follow God's instructions on how to interact with them. Fathers, don't provoke your children, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4 WEB) As your children see the changes God is making in your life, they too will respond to your guidance.

Father God, we come before You, lifting up our and their relationship with their fiancé. We ask for Your forgiveness for any sins they may have committed, and we pray that You will help them both to forgive each other as You have forgiven them. We ask for Your healing and restoration in their relationship. Guide them both as they seek You and desire Your will for their lives. Heal every trauma and pain, and help them to see each other through Your eyes. Help them to live in righteousness before You. We ask for their children and dogs to listen and be obedient. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue to seek God's will for your relationship. You must be equally yoked together. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) Keep trusting in the Lord; for He is faithful to complete the work He began in you and your fiancé. (Philippians 1:6 WEB) He desires for you to both to live holy lives before Him, and He will strengthen you both to do so. As you both walk in obedience, you both will see the desire of your hearts: a godly marriage. He will work all things together for good, for you both are called according to His purpose.
