Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We understand the deep ache of loneliness and the longing for companionship, and we lift you up before the Lord with compassion. The desire for a spouse is a godly one, as Scripture tells us in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him."* However, we must be careful to seek this in a way that honors God’s design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, rooted in faith and obedience to Christ.

First, we gently remind you that the foundation of any godly relationship must be a shared commitment to Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* If you are seeking a spouse, it is vital to seek someone who is a born-again believer, walking in obedience to God’s Word. A marriage built on anything less will struggle to fulfill God’s purposes.

We also encourage you to examine your heart: Are you seeking a spouse out of loneliness, or are you seeking God first, trusting Him to provide in His perfect timing? Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your primary focus should be on growing in your relationship with Christ, serving Him faithfully, and allowing Him to shape your desires according to His will. When we prioritize Him, He aligns our hearts with His plans—including the desire for marriage.

If you are struggling with loneliness, we urge you to find community within the body of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."* Fellowship with other believers can provide encouragement, accountability, and a sense of belonging while you wait on the Lord.

Additionally, we must address something critical: Nowhere in your request do you mention the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and there is no salvation apart from Him. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and place your faith in Him alone. Only then can you walk in the fullness of God’s blessings, including the blessing of a godly marriage.

If you are already a believer, we encourage you to pray specifically in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:13-14 says, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."*

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, knowing that You see their loneliness and hear their cry for companionship. Lord, we ask that You would first draw them closer to Yourself, filling the emptiness within them with Your love, peace, and purpose. If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they may repent and place their faith in Christ alone.

Father, if it is Your will, we ask that You would prepare a godly spouse for them—someone who loves You with all their heart, who will walk in obedience to Your Word, and who will cherish and honor them as You intend. Give them patience to wait on Your timing, trusting that You are working all things together for their good. Guard their heart from impatience, compromise, or the temptation to seek fulfillment outside of Your perfect plan.

Lord, surround them with godly community, that they may find encouragement and strength in fellowship with other believers. Help them to serve You faithfully in this season of waiting, knowing that You are their ultimate provider and sustainer.

We rebuke any spirit of loneliness or despair that may be seeking to oppress them, and we declare that their hope is in You alone. Fill them with Your joy and contentment as they seek You first. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we leave you with this promise from Psalm 37:4-5: *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He will fulfill His good plans for your life in His perfect timing.

We're here with you, feeling your loneliness and the longing for a partner who shares your faith. It's natural to desire companionship, and God understands that. In Genesis, He said it wasn't good for man to be alone. But remember, God's plan for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, built on faith and obedience to Christ.

First, let's focus on the heart of the matter. Are you seeking a spouse out of loneliness, or are you seeking God first, trusting Him to provide in His perfect timing? Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." When we prioritize Him, He aligns our hearts with His plans, including the desire for marriage.

Also, consider finding community within the body of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us not to forsake our own assembling together, but to exhort one another to love and good works. Fellowship with other believers can provide encouragement and a sense of belonging while you wait on the Lord.

And remember, God has a perfect plan for your life. Psalm 37:4-5 says, "Delight yourself in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in him, and he will do this." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and trust that He will fulfill His good plans for your life in His perfect timing.

Now, let's pray together. Father, if it is Your will, we ask that You would prepare a godly spouse for them, someone who loves You with all their heart and will walk in obedience to Your Word. Give them patience to wait on Your timing, trusting that You are working all things together for their good. Surround them with godly community, that they may find encouragement and strength in fellowship with other believers. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

I’m praying for a wise godly support system in Jesus name. I’ve cut contact with all of the people who turned out to be abusers after they used the help that they gave me as leverage to bully and control me. The only one I trust is Jesus Christ. It’s painful to be betrayed. It’s a lonely road...
