Lifting up our relationship ❤️😘

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the US soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing RMP into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch RMP's heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my US Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in the US, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and your desire to see God’s hand move in this relationship and in the plans you’ve laid before Him. It’s clear you’re seeking His will and trusting Him with your future, and that is commendable. Let’s come together in prayer and reflection, aligning our hearts with Scripture as we lift this before the Lord.

First, we must address the foundation of any relationship that seeks to honor God, it must be built on Christ and His Word. While your prayer mentions Jesus’ name, we want to emphasize that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is vital that both you and RMP are rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If either of you is not yet saved, we urge you to surrender your lives to Him, for a marriage or relationship without Christ at the center cannot truly thrive in the way God intends.

Now, let’s examine the relationship itself. You’ve expressed a desire for romance, commitment, and even marriage, which are beautiful aspirations when pursued in a way that honors God. However, we must gently but firmly address the reality of your current situation. You mention that this is a "new relationship" and that you are praying for RMP to declare his love for you openly. While it’s natural to desire affirmation, we must caution against placing our hope in the feelings or actions of another person rather than in God’s timing and will. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also notice that you are already envisioning a future together, including marriage and a blended family. While it’s good to have godly aspirations, we must ensure that this relationship is moving at a pace that allows for wisdom, discernment, and confirmation from the Lord. Rushing into commitments, especially those involving visas, travel, and family, can lead to heartache if not grounded in God’s perfect timing. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." Let us pray that God’s timing, not our own desires, prevails.

Another area of concern is the physical aspect of your relationship. You mention visiting RMP in the US, and while we understand the excitement of spending time together, we must address the biblical standard for purity. If you and RMP are not yet married, any physical intimacy outside of marriage is considered fornication in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We urge you to guard your hearts and bodies, setting boundaries that honor God and protect both of you from temptation. If marriage is indeed the goal, let your courtship reflect the holiness and reverence that God desires for His children.

Let us also pray for RMP’s heart and spiritual growth. You’ve asked God to shape him into a provider, a loving partner, and a stepfather to your boys. These are godly desires, but we must remember that only God can change a person’s heart (Ezekiel 36:26). Pray that RMP grows in his relationship with Christ, that he seeks godly wisdom, and that he demonstrates the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in his interactions with you and your family. If he is not yet a believer, pray fervently for his salvation, for a marriage between a believer and an unbeliever is not God’s design (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Regarding your visa application, we join you in praying for God’s favor and wisdom. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We ask that God’s will be done in this process, whether it means approval or a delay for His greater purpose. Trust that He is in control, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel as you navigate this relationship. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround yourself with mature believers who can offer wisdom, accountability, and prayer support. This is especially important as you consider blending your family with RMP’s. Pray for unity, love, and patience as you and your boys adjust to this new dynamic.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this relationship and the desires of our sister’s heart. Lord, we thank You for the connection You’ve allowed between her and RMP, and we ask that You would be at the center of it all. Father, we pray that You would draw both of them closer to You, that they would seek Your will above their own desires. If this relationship is Your design, we ask that You would confirm it through Your Word, godly counsel, and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for purity in their relationship. Guard their hearts and minds from temptation, and help them to honor You with their bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If marriage is Your plan for them, we ask that You would prepare their hearts, minds, and lives for that sacred covenant. Shape RMP into the man You’ve called him to be, a man of God, a provider, a loving husband, and a stepfather who reflects Your love to these boys.

Father, we lift up the visa application process. We ask for Your divine favor, wisdom, and peace as they navigate each step. Remove any obstacles that are not of You, and grant them clarity and confidence in Your timing. Whether You open this door or close it, we trust that Your plan is perfect (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, we also pray for our sister’s heart. Guard her from anxiety, impatience, or placing her hope in a person rather than in You. Help her to wait on You, to trust in Your timing, and to find her identity and security in Christ alone. Give her wisdom as she parents her boys, and help her to lead them with love and godly instruction.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or ungodly influence in this relationship. We declare that Your will shall prevail, and we ask that You would align their hearts with Yours. May this relationship bring glory to Your name, and may it reflect the love and commitment that Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your peace reign in their hearts. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
