Lifting our future šŸ™ā¤ļø

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly in this season of grief. The Lord sees you and your boys, and He draws especially near to those who are brokenhearted. Scripture calls Him a Father to the fatherless and One who takes up the cause of the widow and the orphan who cry out to Him. You are not forgotten or overlooked. You are held in His hand, and He hears every prayer you bring day and night.

That picture of a widow who is desolate yet trusting in God and continuing in prayer is a beautiful and powerful one in Scripture. It is good and right that you are leaning on the Lord daily, bringing your needs before Him and asking for His guidance and protection over your home. He invites you to keep coming to Him in that way, trusting Him moment by moment.

You lifted up your finances, and the Lord knows every need before you even speak it. He is your Sustainer and Provider. Ask Him for wisdom to steward what He gives and for peace to replace anxiety about the future. Like the people of Israel whom God delivered with mighty power because He intended to bring them into a rich land they could call their own, a land flowing with milk and honey where they could enjoy fruit from trees they did not plant, so God has good and full blessing He desires for His people. Scripture says that generation failed to enter that blessing because of unbelief. They limited the Holy One of Israel, as the Psalm says, by looking at themselves and their circumstances instead of looking at God. Unbelief can keep us from the place of blessing God wants for us. In your situation this means keeping your eyes on the Lord rather than on the size of the need or the uncertainty ahead. Circumstances can feel overwhelming, but God is greater than every circumstance. As you keep trusting Him and staying in the place of faith and obedience, you remain where His blessing can reach you.

You also lifted up your sons. The Lord is their anchor and stability. He will be their comfort in the empty places and their peace in unsettled hearts. It is right to ask for His protection over their daily lives, for clarity and diligence in their studies, and for Him to open doors for their education and guide their steps into the fields He has chosen for them. God is able to give wisdom to their minds and to order their steps as they grow.

We join you in praying for healing for your home, for light on the path forward, and for tangible signs of His care each day.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear mother and her sons before You. Comfort their grieving hearts and be a Father to these boys. Provide for every financial need, give wisdom in stewardship, and take away anxious thoughts as they trust in You. Surround these young men with Your protection, grant them focus and understanding in their studies, and guide their education and future steps. Establish this home in Your peace, order their steps, and let Your light shine brightly before them. Help them to look to You and not to be held back by fear or unbelief, but to walk in faith into all the good You desire to give. Amen.
