Disciple of Prayer
Jesus, God is good. I don't know what I'm living for. I find myself worthless. There's no meaning in life. What are God's plan for me. I just completed ### sessions of radiation. I'm so exhausted and feeling moody. What's going on in my life, I have no idea. I don't feel alive or dead. What's next. Please help me to understand what is happening to me.

We hear the deep weariness in your heart, and we want you to know that your life has immense value in the eyes of God. The exhaustion and moodiness you’re feeling are real, and they may be compounded by the physical and emotional toll of radiation treatment. But even in this season of uncertainty, God has not abandoned you. He sees you, He knows your struggles, and He has a purpose for your life—one that is greater than the pain you’re enduring right now.

First, we must address the lie that you are worthless. Scripture tells us in **Psalm 139:13-14**, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."* You are not an accident or a mistake. God intentionally designed you with love and purpose. Even when you don’t feel it, your worth is not defined by your circumstances but by the One who created you.

You mentioned that you don’t know what you’re living for, and that’s a heavy burden to carry. But **Jeremiah 29:11** reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* God’s plans for you are good, even when the path is unclear. Right now, your body and mind may be fighting against you, but that doesn’t mean God’s purpose for you has changed. He is still working, even in the silence.

We also want to gently rebuke the despair that says life has no meaning. The enemy would love for you to believe that lie, but **John 10:10** declares, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* Jesus did not come so you could merely exist—He came so you could live fully, even in the midst of hardship. Your feelings of numbness or detachment may be a result of physical exhaustion, emotional strain, or even spiritual warfare, but they are not the final word.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling to see Your purpose in this season. Lord, we ask that You would renew their strength, just as You promise in **Isaiah 40:31**, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Father, we ask for physical healing from the effects of radiation, for emotional restoration, and for a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit to remind them of their worth in You.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has tried to take root. We declare that this is not the end of their story—You are still writing it. Help them to see glimpses of Your goodness, even in small things. Give them the courage to take each day one step at a time, trusting that You are guiding their path.

Lord, we also ask that You would surround them with godly community—people who will speak life into them, pray with them, and remind them of Your promises. Help them to lean on You when they feel weak, knowing that Your grace is sufficient (**2 Corinthians 12:9**).

Most of all, Father, we pray that they would draw near to You. You are the Author of life, the One who gives meaning to our existence. Help them to rest in Your love, even when they don’t understand what’s next. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to hold onto hope, even when it feels impossible. This season is not your forever—it is a chapter, but not the whole story. God is with you, and He is for you. If you’re feeling disconnected from Him, start by simply talking to Him, even if it’s just a whisper. He hears you. And if you haven’t already, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian friend who can walk alongside you in this time.

You are not alone. You are seen. And your life matters deeply to God.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that the uncertainty and exhaustion you're feeling can make it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But remember, even in the darkest nights, Jesus is the brightest star guiding us through.

You mentioned feeling worthless and like there's no meaning in life. We want you to know that's not true. In Psalm 86:9, it says, "All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name." You are part of those nations, a unique creation of God, with a purpose and a future. Your worth is not defined by your circumstances, but by the One who created you and loves you dearly.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God, even when it feels like He's distant. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." He's inviting you to come as you are, with all your weariness and burden. He wants to give you rest.

Let's pray together:

Lord Jesus, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. We ask that You would wrap them in Your love, remind them of their worth in Your eyes, and give them strength for each day. Help them to trust in Your plan, even when it's unclear. Surround them with Your peace, and let them know they are not alone. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, friend. God is with you, and He's working things out for your good. Trust in Him, one day at a time.

Christina, many people try to figure out what God's plan and purpose for them are, but these are things that His does not reveal to us. Our job is to simply live the circumstances that each day come to us from God the best way that we are able to live. When you get to the point where you are following the Spirit completely and living in the peace of God, your purpose and life's plan will not matter to you. The only thing that will matter to you is pleasing God. BTW, you are God's masterpiece and He is very proud of you just the way you are! 😍🌹

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. Your words about feeling lost, exhausted, and without purpose have not fallen on deaf ears—we have prayed that the Holy Spirit would wrap you in His peace that surpasses all understanding, even when the road ahead feels unclear. You mentioned completing radiation treatments, and we have specifically asked God to renew your strength, to restore your body, and to lift the heaviness that weighs on your spirit. Father, we asked that You would reveal Yourself in tangible ways—through Scripture, through the kindness of others, through moments of quiet where You speak hope into the silence.

We continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that God has a plan for your life, even when it feels hidden. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that His plans are for good, to give you a future and a hope. We’ve prayed that truth would take root in your heart, that you would sense His nearness in your weariness, and that He would begin to unfold the next steps before you, one day at a time.

If in these days you’ve seen even a glimmer of His faithfulness—a verse that comforted you, a friend who reached out, a moment of unexpected peace—we would love to celebrate that with you. And if the struggle still feels overwhelming, please know we are here to keep lifting you up. You are not forgotten, and your life has immeasurable value in Christ. We will continue to pray for clarity, for healing, for purpose, and for the assurance that God is working even when you cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you with His presence in the days ahead, drawing you closer to His heart and reminding you that you are deeply loved. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
