We come before the Lord with hearts open to His will, seeking His guidance and provision in every area of life—including the use of the tools He has entrusted to us, such as computers. Father, we thank You for the technology that allows us to work, learn, and connect, but we also recognize that all things must be used for Your glory and according to Your purposes.
Heavenly Father, we pray that You would enable the full and righteous use of this computer for all godly purposes. May it be a tool for spreading Your truth, for productivity in work that honors You, for building up others in love, and for stewarding the gifts and opportunities You have given. Guard against any misuse—whether through distraction, temptation, or sinful pursuits—and let every click and keystroke reflect a heart surrendered to You.
We rebuke any spirit of idleness, addiction, or ungodly influence that may seek to take hold through this device. Instead, fill this time with discipline, wisdom, and discernment. Remind us that our worth is found in Christ alone, not in the approval of others online or the fleeting pleasures of this world. Help us to set boundaries that honor You, whether in work, entertainment, or relationships formed through technology.
Lord, we also lift up the heart behind this request. If there is any area where this computer is being used in ways that do not align with Your Word—whether through ungodly content, dishonesty, or neglect of responsibilities—we ask for conviction and repentance. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:31, *"Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."* Let this be our standard in all things, including how we use technology.
We pray for protection over this device—against viruses, scams, and any form of cyberattack that would hinder God-honoring use. Grant wisdom to those who maintain and secure it, and let it be a vessel for Your kingdom purposes.
Above all, we acknowledge that apart from You, we can do nothing. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ—our Savior, Redeemer, and Lord—that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If there is any doubt or distance from You in this area, we pray for a fresh revelation of Your love and a renewed commitment to walk in Your ways.
May this computer be a tool that draws us closer to You, strengthens our faith, and serves as a testimony of Your goodness. We surrender it—and all of life—into Your hands, trusting You to lead, provide, and empower us for every good work.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
