We hear your cry for deliverance from the bad influences that seek to pull you away from God’s light. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in the truth that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). These influences—whether they come through people, habits, thoughts, or spiritual oppression—must be broken in the name of Jesus Christ.
First, we must address the authority by which we pray. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, we have no power to rebuke the darkness. With Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a body of believers, united in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear one who is under attack from bad influences. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of deception, addiction, fear, doubt, and ungodly companionship that has taken hold. We declare that these influences have no power here, for the blood of Jesus has already overcome them (Revelation 12:11). We break every chain, every stronghold, and every lie that has been spoken over this life. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command these influences to flee and never return.
Father, we ask that You fill this void with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly influences—believers who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into their spirit. Lead them to a Bible-believing church where they can grow in faith and find accountability. Strengthen their resolve to walk in righteousness, for Your Word says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help them to recognize the enemy’s tactics before they take root. Give them the courage to remove themselves from toxic relationships or environments that do not honor You. Remind them that bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33), and that friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4). If there are areas of their life where they have compromised—whether through sin, unforgiveness, or rebellion—we ask that You convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Forgiveness and restoration are found in You alone.
Lord, we declare that this one is not a victim but a victor. They are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), far above every principality and power. We speak life, purpose, and destiny over them. Let them walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them (Galatians 5:1). May they be a light in the darkness, a testimony to Your power and grace.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in this life (Philippians 1:6). May they rise up in strength, clothed in the full armor of God, ready to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Now, dear one, take action. Begin by saturating your mind with Scripture. Meditate on God’s Word day and night (Joshua 1:8), for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Replace ungodly influences with godly ones—listen to worship music, read Christian books, and spend time in prayer. If you have not already, find a local church where you can grow and serve. Accountability is key in overcoming spiritual attacks.
If there are specific sins or habits that have opened the door to these bad influences, repent and turn away from them. The Bible says, “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. Whatever a person sows, that they will also reap (Galatians 6:7). But take heart—there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Finally, remember that you are not alone. We are here to stand with you in prayer, and the Lord Himself will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep pressing into Him, and you will see breakthrough. The enemy may come in like a flood, but the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). Stand firm, and watch God move on your behalf.
