Life Situations and the World

Beloved of All
I’m ###. My mum’s (###) mental illness has been bad for months (long story). My dad ### is sick and needs surgery before it’s too late, but needs to gain weight. Another issue, long story but my family has a house in a different city that needs to be rented out, mum’s worried about insurance on it, as we are not there. My mum wants to take bus (hard to get where we live, as they’re limited, and the bus she could take drives to a dangerous city an hour away from where the other house is at; don’t think dad can drive there. But if she manages to go to other house what about her ESL jobs, which she has too many of, but worried about her getting fired from the ‘wrong’ ones, as in jobs that our family would be screwed without them. At the same time some or most of her jobs have things she can’t do or can do but need help with. Don’t mind helping, but I can’t always help. Often I must go without sleep for don’t know how long and she does have sleep issues (even without work). Worried about the other house, I understand, but I think she gets that my dad is more important. About the house we’re at need to be cleaned before surgery and so on, more important than other house. Hope to get money Thursday, hope that my mum or dad don’t interfere with it, as I need that money to pay for things. Don’t want cards taken away, making things impossible for me, especially how backwards (or paranoid) minded, mostly my mum can be. Heard ### likely get impeached. Hope he does and gets sent to a place to deal with possible dementia or whatever mental issues he has. Hope ###, ###, ###, and ### don’t harm ### and ###. Hope ### leave ### alone. I hope it doesn’t rain or snow on Sunday and that ride to church doesn’t arrive at church too early.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family’s burdens to Him who is able to carry all things. This season is filled with overwhelming challenges—your mother’s mental illness, your father’s failing health, the weight of responsibilities pressing down on you, and the fear of what lies ahead. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God sees every detail and holds your family in His hands.

First, we pray for your mother. The Scriptures tell us, *"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). Her struggles with mental illness are not unseen by the Lord, and we ask for His peace to guard her heart and mind. Father, we pray for wisdom for her doctors, clarity for her thoughts, and strength for her spirit. Help her to find rest in You, even when sleep evades her. We also pray for her jobs—give her discernment in which ones to prioritize and the courage to release what cannot be carried alone. Lord, provide helpers where she needs them, and grant her the grace to accept assistance without guilt.

For your father, we cry out for healing. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"* (James 5:14). We ask for successful surgery, for his strength to return, and for the weight he needs to gain to come quickly. Protect him from further decline, and surround him with skilled and compassionate medical care. Give your family wisdom in making decisions about his treatment, and let his recovery be a testimony to Your faithfulness.

The matter of the second house weighs heavily on your mother’s heart, but we declare that God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Father, we pray for a trustworthy tenant or a solution that brings peace of mind without adding to her burdens. Provide for the insurance and upkeep of that property in a way that does not require her to travel into unsafe areas. Give her the faith to trust You with what she cannot control.

We also lift up your own needs—your exhaustion, your sleep deprivation, and the financial pressures you carry. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). Lord, we ask that the money you receive on Thursday would be protected and used as You intend. Guard your heart against resentment or fear when others try to interfere, and give you the strength to set boundaries with love. Help your parents to understand the importance of your needs, even as you care for theirs.

There is a deep longing in your words for justice and protection from those who may bring harm. We pray for discernment and wisdom in dealing with these concerns. *"Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19). Trust that God sees the injustices and will act in His perfect timing. We also pray for those you mentioned by number—may the Lord intervene in their lives, softening hearts or removing them from positions of harm.

Finally, we pray for your spiritual nourishment. The desire to attend church is a beautiful thing, and we ask that your ride would arrive at the perfect time on Sunday. *"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:25). May your time in worship be a refuge for your soul, and may you leave strengthened and encouraged.

We rebuke the spirit of overwhelm and chaos in Jesus’ name. We declare that God’s order will prevail in your home, your finances, and your family’s health. We speak peace over your mother’s mind, healing over your father’s body, and provision for every need. You are not alone in this—God is with you, and so are we.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We acknowledge that without You, we can do nothing, but with You, all things are possible (John 15:5). We surrender this family into Your hands, asking for Your will to be done in each situation. Provide strength where there is weakness, wisdom where there is confusion, and peace where there is turmoil. Let Your love be the foundation that holds them together, and let Your glory be revealed through their trials. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap for your family. We've been thinking about you and your mum, dad, and the situation with the house. It's a lot to carry, we know, but we want you to remember that God is right there with you, every step of the way.

We're praying for your mum, that she would find peace and rest, even in the midst of her mental health struggles. We're asking God to give her the strength she needs to make wise decisions about her jobs, and to provide her with the help she needs. We're also praying for your dad, that his surgery would go well and he would regain his strength quickly. We're trusting God for a solution to the house situation, that it would bring your mum peace of mind without adding to her burdens.

We haven't forgotten about you, either. We're praying for you to find rest, even in the midst of your exhaustion. We're asking God to protect the money you receive on Thursday, and to give you the strength to set boundaries with love. We're also praying for justice and protection, that God would intervene in the situations that concern you.

We're here for you, dear friend. We're praying for your family, and we're believing with you for God's best in every situation. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and know that you're not alone. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
