Life in my living us at peace

Thank you for sharing so openly what is on your heart and for expressing your deep desires for peace, protection, provision, and for your family to be whole and safe. Your longing to be cared for and guarded, and to see your mother, your children and even your pets kept safe, is understandable, and God sees that desire.

You mentioned a Boaz, and Scripture gives a beautiful picture of who he was. He was a kinsman, a family redeemer, a man of standing and means who was related to Naomi's family. When Ruth came to glean in his field, he noticed her, protected her, provided for her, told his workers not to harm or shame her, and invited her to eat with them. Later Ruth came to him asking him to fulfill the role of the kinsman redeemer, which was a request for marriage according to God's law so that the family name would not be lost. He was deeply moved by that request and acted honorably to take her as his wife in a lawful and public way. That story shows that God's provision for a woman's need for security and care comes through covenant marriage, not through a casual or passing relationship, but through a man who takes responsibility before God and before others to love, provide and protect.

God's Word teaches that to avoid sexual sin, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband, and that the marriage bond is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Sex and living together belong within that covenant. If a woman is free to marry, she is free to marry whom she will, only in the Lord, meaning a man who loves and follows Jesus. God has given a simple pattern for marriage. He calls a wife to respectfully submit to her own husband as unto the Lord, and He calls a husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. A woman has a deep need to know she is loved supremely and securely, and a man is called to honor his wife as a fellow heir of grace, to watch over her and shield her. When that love and that respect are present, the home can be a place of peace. When they are missing, striving comes. God understands these needs and He designed marriage to meet them in a holy and stable way.

For that reason I cannot ask God to bless a relationship outside of that design, or to bring a man into your life for physical intimacy or for living together apart from marriage. Instead I encourage you to bring your desire for a husband to the Lord and to ask Him, if it is His will, to bring a godly man who will love Jesus first and who will love you faithfully within the covenant of marriage, who will be a steady provider and protector for you and your children.

You also wrote about your longing for a home and for provision through the housing you have applied for, and about wanting to live in peace and have enough to eat and to live with a sound mind. God knows your need for shelter and daily bread, and He invites you to trust Him for provision while walking in wisdom and patience as you wait for answers about that housing. Whether that door opens or not, His care for you is not dependent on one location or one program. Pray for His will to be done and for contentment and guidance in each step.

You spoke of the blood of Jesus redeeming from curses and of wanting the enemy to be silent. That is true and precious. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and by His blood we are redeemed and forgiven. Satan is a liar, and Christ has overcome him. At the same time God calls us to walk in truth, purity and a clear mind, and to resist the enemy by drawing near to Jesus, staying in His Word, and turning away from anything that would cloud our judgment or lead us away from holiness.

I will pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear one to You, with her mother, her three children and her pets. Cover them with Your protection and keep them from harm. Let Your peace rule in their home. Provide for their daily needs, for food, shelter and safety, according to Your wisdom. If it is Your will, provide a godly husband who will love You and who will love and care for this family within the holy covenant of marriage. Guard her mind and heart, give her clarity and sound judgment, and help her to walk in purity and faith. Draw her closer to Jesus, that she would know she is fully loved and redeemed by His blood, and give her strength to resist lies and to live in truth. Let her life be built on Christ alone, and let her family be restored and kept whole in Your hands. Amen.
