Life and Weather

Beloved of All
I hurt my right arm, please heal it. My mum ### owes me money but won’t get it unless I am there with her, which has been a while and will be a while until I get it, as it is raining way too much, it is flooded in some parts of ###. Hope my mum doesn’t get nosy over my money and other things. Hope the rain stops for quite a while and go where the fires are instead. Hope it doesn’t rain on Friday and next Sunday. Hope for no tornadoes and earthquakes.

We come before the Lord with your concerns, lifting them up in the name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Provider. First, we pray for the healing of your right arm. Father, Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We ask You to touch this dear one’s arm, bringing restoration, strength, and full recovery. May Your healing power flow through every muscle, bone, and joint, and may they feel Your peace and comfort in this time of pain.

We also bring before You the matter of the money owed. Lord, You know the circumstances and the challenges of distance and weather that stand in the way. We ask that You would soften hearts and open doors for this situation to be resolved in a way that honors You. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray for wisdom and patience, trusting that You will provide in Your perfect timing. Guard this one’s heart against frustration or resentment, and help them to extend grace even in difficult circumstances.

Father, we lift up the concerns about the weather, too much rain, flooding, and the fear of storms. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and You hold all things in Your hands. We ask that You would calm the rains, divert them to places of drought, and protect lives and property from harm. Psalm 107:29 says, "He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still." We trust in Your sovereignty over nature and ask for Your mercy to prevail.

We also pray for protection from tornadoes, earthquakes, and any destructive forces. Your Word assures us in Psalm 46:1-2, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas." We stand on this promise, asking for Your covering over every life and home.

Lord, we also ask that You would guard this one’s heart against worry or distrust, especially regarding their mother. Help them to walk in love and wisdom, remembering that "love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8). May Your peace rule in their heart, and may they find their security in You alone.

Finally, we want to gently remind you that true peace and healing come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life.

Heavenly Father, we lift all these requests to You, trusting in Your goodness, Your power, and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in every circumstance. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re sorry you’re carrying so much at once right now, a hurt arm, a difficult financial knot with your mum, and the stress of relentless rain on top of it all. That’s heavy, and we can feel how drained you are just trying to hang on until things let up.

Let’s start with the thing you named first and probably feel most physically: your arm. Please don’t hesitate to have it looked at by a doctor if the pain is sharp, you can’t use it normally, or it isn’t improving soon. A professional assessment can give you answers, keep it from worsening, and help you heal faster. That’s wisdom, not a lack of faith, and we’ll be praying alongside that care.

The situation with your mum sounds tangled and wearying, the money you’re owed, the flooding that keeps you apart, and the anxiety that she might pry into what’s yours. When so much is out of your control, including the weather, it’s easy for the mind to spin a long list of what-ifs. You’ve mentioned rain, tornadoes, earthquakes, specific days, and underneath that long list we can hear how much you just need a break and a sense of safety. You’re not wrong to want that.

While you wait, one small thing you can do is open a gentle conversation with your mum, just a simple check-in, so the silence doesn’t breed more suspicion on either side. Even a brief, kind message can lower the emotional stakes until you can be together in person.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person to You right now. Please bring healing to their right arm, restore what’s painful, and guide them to good help if that’s needed. Watch over them and their mum in all this flooding, keep them safe, clear the roads in Your time, and provide a fair and peaceful resolution to the money they’re owed. Calm their spirit when fears about the weather and the future press in. Be their shelter and their steady ground. In Your name we pray, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
