We lift you up before the Lord in this time of physical suffering, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things together by the word of His power. Your pain is not unseen by Him, and we trust that He is working even in this trial for your good and His glory. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Though this season is difficult, we cling to the promise that God is with you, and He will sustain you through this.
It is encouraging that you have sought medical attention and are diligent in pursuing answers through the CT scan tomorrow. We pray that the Lord would guide the hands and minds of the medical professionals attending to you, granting them wisdom and clarity to diagnose and treat the root of this pain. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We trust that God will direct this process and bring about healing in His perfect timing.
Yet, we also recognize that suffering has a purpose in the life of a believer. It refines us, draws us closer to Christ, and reminds us of our dependence on Him. The apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."* May this time of weakness become an opportunity for you to experience the strength and comfort of Christ in new ways.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this season. Is there any area of your life—physical, emotional, or spiritual—that needs surrendering to the Lord? Sometimes pain can be a reminder to slow down, to seek Him more earnestly, or to release control over things we’ve been holding too tightly. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Rest in Him, even now, as you wait for answers and relief.
Lastly, we want to gently ask: have you been praying to the Father *in the name of Jesus*? It is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace, and it is by His name—and His name alone—that we are saved and our prayers are heard. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. There is no greater peace than knowing you are reconciled to God through Christ, especially in times of trial.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring this relentless pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch their body, bringing relief from this suffering. Guide the doctors tomorrow as they perform the CT scan—grant them discernment, wisdom, and clarity to identify the cause of this pain and the best course of treatment. Lord, we pray for complete and swift healing, that this pain would subside and that Your restoration would be evident in their body.
We also pray for their heart and mind during this time. When the pain feels overwhelming, remind them of Your presence and Your promises. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are sovereign over every cell in their body. If there is any fear or anxiety, cast it out, Lord, and replace it with faith in Your goodness.
Father, we rebuked any spiritual attack or oppression that may be exacerbating this physical trial. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name against any scheme of the enemy. Let this season be one where Your glory is displayed, where faith is strengthened, and where Your name is praised.
If there is any area of their life that needs surrendering to You, Lord, reveal it to them. Give them the courage to lay it at Your feet and trust You completely. And Father, if they have not yet fully surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them into Your loving arms.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. May Your healing power flow through them, and may they emerge from this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
