Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing what you are experiencing with the discomfort and heat and itching on the left side of your stomach. I am praying for you and asking the Lord to bring relief and healing and to give you peace as you wait on Him.
I do believe that God heals, and Scripture shows us that physical healing is part of what Jesus carried for us. Matthew, writing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, points to Isaiah and says that Jesus bore our infirmities and sicknesses, and when Jesus took the bread at communion He said this is my body broken for you. That reminds us that His work touches both our spiritual need and our physical need.
At the same time the Bible shows us that healing comes in different ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual. There is one account where Jesus healed in stages, and that helps us see that a gradual process is still truly His work. The healing processes God has placed within our bodies are themselves from Him. What happens through nature is still divine because He created nature and its processes. He also brings healing to our emotions and minds, not only to our bodies.
There is much about healing that we do not fully understand, including why some are healed quickly and others are not. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove his thorn in the flesh, and the Lord did not remove it but showed him His grace and purpose in it. Paul also prayed for Timothy, who had frequent stomach problems and was often unwell, and instead of only praying he gave him practical counsel to care for his stomach and to avoid what was harming him. That teaches us that sickness is not a sign of weak faith or spiritual failure, and that God does not heal in every case in the way we expect, but when He does not, it is not because He has forgotten us. His purposes are beyond what we can see, and we can trust Him even when we do not understand.
So I am asking the Lord to touch your body and to ease this heat and itching and strange feeling on your left side. I am also praying that He will guide you to wise and careful medical help, and that He will use both prayer and the natural healing ability He has built into your body to restore you. Please do have this checked promptly by a doctor or medical professional who can examine you and help determine the cause.
May the Lord comfort you, calm any fear, and draw you close to Jesus as you look to Him. May you know His presence and His care, whether healing comes suddenly or through a process over time, and may He give you wisdom and peace in the days ahead.
