When we ask You hear and if You hear, we have, 1 Jn 5:14-14, so SEEK and SAVE the LOST, Lk 19:10, in Jesus' Name, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the gifts Christ has given to His church, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry and to build up the body of Christ until we all reach unity in the faith and maturity in Him (Ephesians 4:11-13). Your prayer for spiritual leaders is deeply aligned with Scripture, and we join our voices with yours in intercession for them.

Father, we lift up the shepherds of Your flock, asking that You would grant them abundant grace to seek You daily in prayer and the study of Your Word. May their lives be marked by humility, devotion, and a burning passion to teach sound doctrine. Let Your house be a house of prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7), where the lost are drawn by the revelation of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that they would prioritize evangelism and discipleship, equipping believers to go forth with the gospel as commanded in Mark 16:15-16 and Acts 1:8. Strengthen them to visit families, encourage house churches, and model a life of worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

Lord, we also bring before You the families and individuals who need to hear the message of salvation. You declare that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), so we ask that You would open hearts to receive the truth. Convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and grant repentance and faith to those who hear the Word. Protect them from the schemes of the evil one (John 17:15) and from the famine of hearing Your Word (Amos 8:11). Stir in them a hunger for Scripture (1 Peter 2:2) and a desire to gather with the saints (Hebrews 10:25), not just occasionally but regularly, as they partake of the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

We rebuke any spirit of complacency or lukewarmness in the church that would treat the gathering of believers or the ordinances of communion as optional. The early church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42), may we do the same. We also rebuke the lie that salvation can be found apart from Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone has not confessed Jesus as Lord or does not pray in His name, we urge them to turn to Him in faith, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Father, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon Your leaders and Your people. May they walk in the anointing of Christ (1 John 2:20), preaching the cross with boldness (Galatians 2:20), and making disciples of all nations. Let the knowledge of Your glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Him (2 Corinthians 1:20). Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer. We can feel how deeply you long for God to work in your church leaders and among your own family, and we are honored to stand with you in these requests.

When we look at what you’ve laid before the Lord, we think of how often God’s answers come through patient, persistent love. Your prayers for your leaders, that they would be protected from falsehood, devoted to Scripture, and filled with the Spirit’s wisdom, are exactly the kind of faithful intercession that sustains those who serve. And we know that for family members who haven’t yet come to church or embraced the gospel, the process of awakening is often quieter and slower than we’d like. But every prayer you offer is a seed planted, and the God who hears never stops drawing hearts.

In the meantime, you can also be part of the answer in small, tangible ways. A brief note thanking one of your pastors for their teaching or letting them know you remember them in prayer can refresh their soul. With your family, look for ordinary opportunities to listen and love well, maybe over a meal or a shared memory, without pressure, just being present. Your steady affection and life may speak as clearly as any sermon.

We join you now in prayer.

Lord Jesus, we lift these church leaders to you. Grant them deep joy in prayer and study, guard them from all falsehood, and give them wisdom to teach and equip your people. For their households and for every family member who does not yet know you, we ask that you draw near, open their minds to understand the Scriptures, and give them the gifts of repentance and living faith. Bring them into the fellowship of your church, and protect them from the evil one. In your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How precious that the prayer itself has found its way into the heart, for a prayer that is merely spoken with the lips and never prayed in the soul is like an arrow never shot from the bow. The great matter is not the arrangement of the words but whether the heart finds itself pleading before the Throne. When the soul cries out for the shepherds of the flock, that they might be given to prayer, to the study of the Word, to humility, and to sound teaching, this is a petition that first came from God and now returns to Him. It is He who stirs the heart to ask for that which He Himself has promised; He has said, “Do as You have said,” and that is the very essence of prevailing supplication.

Concerning the leaders in the Body, what is it that they need but the ever-present help of their God? The Church of God needs a thousand things, yet all may be gathered into one: the Church of God needs her God. If His face shines upon the sanctuary, then there will be prayer that is no empty form but living intercession, study of the Word that is not mere intellect but revelation from the Father, and humility that is the sweet fruit of the Spirit and not a garment worn for show. True humility is the fit attitude of prayer; prostrate before the Throne is our strength for supplication. A man lifted up with pride may utter words, but he cannot pray. When the soul lies low, then prayer comes freely as leaping water from a fountain.

As for the doctrine taught, hold fast the form of sound words. That which mingles grace with human merit is a doctrine that frustrates the grace of God and would silence the hallelujahs of heaven. The soundness of doctrine is known by its tendency: it must give all the glory to the Lord alone and lay the sinner low while exalting Christ crucified. There is no fence in the doctrine of God’s sovereign purpose to keep any seeker away; rather, it is an open door with the shout, “Whoever will, let him come and take of the water of life freely!” Let the message ever ring clear: His blood has power to cleanse, His death has brought deliverance from the fear of eternal wrath, and it is by grace alone, through faith alone, that any are saved.

Your plea for family members to be drawn, to hear the Word with faith, and to come to repentance is a prayer most needful. Salvation is of the Lord, and it pleases Him to work through the proclamation of the gospel, through the quiet testimony of a saved friend, and through the simple yet mighty power of the Spirit opening minds to understand the Scriptures. Flesh and blood does not reveal Christ, but our Father in heaven does. Continue, then, to take these names and these households before the mercy seat; particularize them, as our Lord prayed for Peter by name. Be not slack in this, for prayer is always useful to the Church and to the households that yet sit in darkness. The fire upon the altar of intercession must never go out.

The desire to see the Church built up, protected from the evil one, and steadfast in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship is a prayer after God’s own heart. He has pledged Himself to His Anointed, and He will feed His people, save them from this perishing generation, and cause them to grow into maturity. The living Temple is one body, and every living stone is bound to the rest; when one part is blessed, the whole is strengthened. Therefore, let the cry go up without ceasing: “Save Your people, bless Your inheritance, feed them also, and lift them up forever.” The Lord has been mindful of us, and He will bless.

I see the breadth of your prayer, and I am stirred because you pour out many scriptures and holy desires. Yet let us examine ourselves, lest in the abundance of our requests we forget the very foundation. You ask for leaders to be devoted, for families to be drawn, for souls to be saved. All this is good, for the Apostle commands us to pray for all men. But does not your own prayer reveal that salvation belongs entirely to God? For what do we have that we did not receive? Even the faith to pray such things is not our own; by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. He called us, we did not first draw near. If then the Lord must give the increase, why do we multiply words as though our many verses would move Him? He is more willing to give than we are to ask.

Consider then what you confess: that no flesh and blood reveals the Christ, but the Father alone. Why then do you entreat as though the matter hung upon your intercession? It is right to pray, but do not trust in the labor of your lips. Trust in the lovingkindness of God, who wills all to be saved. And when you pray for leaders, remember that they are but men. If they are to enjoy lives of prayer, study, and humility, who can grant them this except the same Spirit? Therefore your prayer must begin with your own soul. Are you yourself walking in that humility which saves the soul? Do you receive the word with meekness? For how shall you intercede for others if you are not yourself a dwelling of the Holy Spirit?

I perceive you make much of church attendance, of drawing families to the assembly. This is an ancient custom and a good one. Yet I even blush for those who scarce once in the year are seen in church. But do not imagine that merely entering the doors secures blessing. The sorrow of the world works death, but godly sorrow works repentance. If they come with tears of worldly regret only, they find no place of repentance, as Esau, who wept but did not truly turn. Seek therefore that they be granted not just presence, but godly grief that leads to salvation. And when they come to the Table, let them not partake rarely as if it were a mere custom, but often, with fear and faith, discerning the body. For you rightly cry out: not seldom, but as often as you eat, you proclaim the Lord's death. Yet none should approach unworthily, for there is no second sacrifice. The Cross is once for all. We have after baptism no second washing; but we have repentance, tears, prayers, works of mercy, by which the stain is cleansed. Do not then trust in the frequency of communion alone, but in the broken heart that receives it.

You name protection from falsehood, sound doctrine, and the building up of the body until we all attain unity. This is indeed the work of shepherds, but see how the Apostle calls the Church not of this or that man, but of God. The whole Church throughout the world must be one. If you pray for leaders, pray also that they may not tear the seamless robe by ambition or party spirit. And when you ask for vision and revelation, remember that the short word of faith holds salvation: confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. That is the word which saves, not many visions. Do not then despise the simplicity of the gospel while seeking extraordinary manifestations. The Lord makes a short word upon the earth, and this short word carries with it righteousness.

I say these things not to dampen your zeal, but to set it upon the right foundation. Your prayer is great, and I thank God for such a fervent spirit in this congregation. But let us always return to this: salvation is of the Lord, and though we pray, we must not think that by our much speaking we bring it about. Rather, as the Apostle says, we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, knowing that it is God who works in us to will and to do. So pray without ceasing, but pray in this manner: “Lord, have mercy; Lord, grant repentance; Lord, open the mind to understand the Scriptures; for apart from You we can do nothing.” And when you see families come, when you hear the word take root, when you see leaders walk in humility, then give all glory to God, for the things that are impossible with men are possible with Him. Continue steadfastly in the prayers, in the breaking of bread, and in the fellowship. And may the God of mercies, who delivered us from so great a death, perfect that which concerneth your salvation and the salvation of all who call upon His name.

We thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart to pray for those who lead and teach among us. The prayer you have brought touches the very things that matter most: devoted prayer, the study of the Word, sound teaching, evangelism, and the work of the Holy Spirit. This kind of intercession aligns us with what the Father is already desiring to do among His people.

The men and women God uses are people of prayer. They live and breathe in constant fellowship with the Lord, and through that persistent, even groaning prayer, doors open for Him to work without violating the will He has given us. When we pray like this, we come into harmony with His purposes, and He moves. So keep asking that leaders would be set apart for prayer and the Scriptures, because everything else flows from that.

Sound doctrine is not optional. It is the solid foundation upon which our faith must be built. When storms come, a house stands only if it rests on right teaching about God, about Christ, and about salvation. Poor doctrine leaves people weak and vulnerable. Pray that those who teach would be careful, living lives of purity and sincerity as examples, so that both they and those who hear them would be saved and firmly grounded. The Word alone brings life.

Never underestimate what happens when the Word is opened in homes. One faithful Bible study leads to another, and those who are saved begin to teach others, who go on to teach still more. That is how the Body is built up and brought to maturity. Pray with confidence for every visitor and family member you lift before the throne. The Spirit opens minds to understand the Scriptures, grants repentance, and gives the faith that receives Christ. Jesus is still seeking and saving the lost.

When life presses in and desperation comes, let it drive you deeper into that place of wordless prayer where you simply pour out your soul before Him. That kind of honest dependence is precious to God. May you experience such depth, and may He use your prayers to bring many into the eternal life that is found only in the Son. He who has the Son has life. Keep asking with thanksgiving, knowing that when we ask according to His will He hears us, and we have the requests we have asked of Him.
