When we ask You hear and if You hear, we have, 1 Jn 5:14-14, so SEEK and SAVE the LOST, Lk 19:10, in Jesus' Name, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We lift our hearts together in gratitude for the profound truth that Christ, our risen and ascended Lord, has given gifts to His church, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry and to build up the body of Christ. Father, we ask that You would pour out Your grace upon these leaders, that they may walk in deep intimacy with You through prayer, the study of Your Word, and lives marked by humility. May Your house truly be a house of prayer for all nations, as You have declared in Isaiah 56:7, and may the Holy Spirit anoint them to teach sound doctrine, visit the families under their care, and emphasize evangelism with boldness and compassion.

We pray for the families and individuals You are drawing to Your church, that they would hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and respond in faith. Father, open their hearts to receive the revelation of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for as Your Word declares, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44). May they come to know the forgiveness of sins, the newness of life found in Christ, and the joy of worshiping You in spirit and truth. Protect them from the deception of the evil one, who seeks to keep them in ignorance and bondage, for "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Stir within them a hunger for Your Word, a longing to gather with Your people, and a desire to partake of the Lord’s Supper as often as they meet, remembering Christ’s sacrifice and proclaiming His death until He comes.

We rebuke every spirit of complacency, distraction, or worldly influence that would keep believers from assembling together, as You have commanded in Hebrews 10:25. Father, grant us all a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, that we may be convicted of sin, led into all truth, and empowered to share the gospel with those who do not yet know You. Your heart is that none would perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we align our prayers with Your will. May the lost be found, the broken restored, and the church built up in unity, knowledge, and maturity in Christ.

We declare that faith comes by hearing the message of Christ (Romans 10:17), and we ask that You would open the eyes of the blind, unstop the ears of the deaf, and soften the hearts of the hardened. Let the Holy Spirit move mightily in our midst, drawing sinners to salvation and believers to deeper devotion. We thank You that when we ask according to Your will, You hear us, and we have the confidence that You will answer (1 John 5:14-15). May Your name be glorified as we seek and save the lost, just as Jesus came to do (Luke 19:10).

Lord, we also lift up those who may be struggling with doubt, unbelief, or rebellion. If there are any among us who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, only Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). If anyone does not confess Him as Lord, we gently but firmly declare that they remain outside the family of God. Father, we ask that You would break every chain of deception, every lie of the enemy, and every barrier to faith. Let the truth of Your Word pierce hearts and bring forth repentance, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

We commit these leaders, these families, and this body of believers into Your hands, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in us. May we walk in the fullness of the Spirit, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To You be the glory, both now and forever. Amen.

What a gift to see such a heart poured out for the leaders and families of your church. We find ourselves stirred by the same longing, that those who teach and shepherd would be anchored in prayer, that the Word would go forth with clarity and power, and that every household around you would be drawn in to hear the voice of Jesus. It’s clear you carry these people before the Father with real love, not just words.

When we pray this way, it can be easy to feel like we’re simply waiting for God to move in others. But you may already be part of the answer to your own prayer. Perhaps this week you could take one small, grounded step: write a brief note of encouragement to a pastor or elder who has been faithful in teaching or visiting homes, letting them know you are praying specifically for their strength and wisdom. Or, if you know a family that has been distant from church, a quiet invitation, just a “We’d love to have you sit with us Sunday” over coffee or a phone call, can be a living echo of the prayer you’ve just prayed. God often uses simple, human acts of welcome to draw people where they need to be.

We’re grateful you reached out. Please be assured we’re lifting these same things with you now.

Father, thank you for this friend’s love for your church. Strengthen every leader in their prayer life, their study, and their care for families. Draw near the people they serve, open hearts, give faith, and protect each one from the lies that would keep them away. Use us as gentle bridges, and let your house truly be a place where all nations find hope in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is a blessed thing when the Lord stirs the hearts of His people to pray for those in authority in the church, and for the ingathering of their own households. Such prayers are a sweet incense before the throne, and we have the promise that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us. Your longing for leaders to be men of prayer, study, humility, and sound teaching touches a very vital point, for when ministers are shut in with God and fed upon His Word, they become a means of building up the body of Christ. Yet never forget that such men are themselves gifts of the ascended King; therefore let your intercession be without ceasing, for there is no power like that of intercession. He who pleads with God for his fellow men, and makes this the main business of his life, is one of the most precious gifts of grace to the age in which he lives.

You plead for your family members, that they may be drawn to the house of the Lord and hear the Word with faith. This is right and scriptural, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. But remember that salvation is not a thing of mere attendance, nor of outward forms. It is a work of the heart, wrought by the Holy Ghost. The gospel is a free salvation, a feast of wine and milk without money and without price. Yet it must be received by a personal looking unto the Saviour. “Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Pray, then, that the Spirit may convict them of sin and open their eyes to see Christ crucified as their only hope.

At the same time, count not upon a family salvation as though it came by natural descent. The promise to the jailor, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house,” was gloriously fulfilled when each one heard the Word and believed for himself. The promise is to us and to our children, but it is “as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Therefore pray, and let your prayer be mingled with a holy life and a loving testimony. Cease not to plead, even when the answer tarries, for the Lord turned again the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, and if the blessing seem to delay, the prayer itself shall return into your bosom with a peace that passeth understanding.

Be much in the Scriptures, for it is written, “What saith the Scripture?” Cling to that infallible Word, and teach no other doctrine than that which is according to the Scriptures. In these days of vaunting intellect and shifting opinion, let your soul be anchored to the truth, and you shall not be carried about. When you are at a loss how to pray, remember that the Spirit helpeth our infirmities; He maketh intercession for us according to the will of God. He can find a door into the hardest heart, for He who made the sun to scorch the proud can also melt the sinner by the beams of His grace. No man is beyond the reach of Divine vengeance, but blessed be God, no man is beyond the reach of Divine mercy either. The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Go on, then, with this holy work of intercession. You are labouring at the very hinge of the matter, for the secret springs that move the visible world are often the prayers of God’s hidden ones. The Lord grant you the desire of your heart, and save your whole house. Amen, so let it be.
