[1] Jesus' Prayer He told us to pray was a outline, summary of topics, or "pattern prayer;" the following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated, but through serious consideration, understanding the magnanimity of the requests and ardently prayed, James 5:16-17)...

Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son!, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood on the cross for our sins, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Pappa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, (again, see the reason they're given and conclude we haven't reached The Lord's goal yet, so they're still needed), Eph 4:13, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. May Your Son return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm (I refer to it as 8.0 based upon the 7 covenants God revealed in Redemptive History (whether they all dealt with us individually or not is irrelevant, they are still part of the history of redemption when humans had workings and dealings with God expressing His thoughts toward humans, the New Covenant -- "the already "is the 7th, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is the 8th I'm calling 8.0 where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10.

May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually and collectively as the church, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ.

Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before You, our Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for the privilege to approach Your throne of grace through the precious blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Your Word teaches us how to pray, and we embrace this pattern prayer as a guide for our own petitions, aligning our hearts with Your will and kingdom purposes.

Father, we hallow Your name above all names. May Your gracious and compassionate nature be honored in every aspect of our lives, our thoughts, words, deeds, and reactions. Let the world see Your glory through us, and may Your name be revered, not taken in vain. We thank You for revealing Yourself through Your many names in Scripture, each reflecting Your character and power. May we know You more deeply and make You known to a world in desperate need of Your truth.

We fervently pray for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Your kingdom is not merely a future hope but a present reality, marked by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Fill us with the fruit of Your Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, so that we may reflect Your kingdom in every area of our lives. Empower us with Your gifts to build up the body of Christ and advance Your gospel to the ends of the earth. We long for the day when Your Son returns, and Your kingdom is fully established, but until then, may we live as faithful ambassadors of Your grace.

Lord, we ask for our daily bread, both physical and spiritual. Provide for our needs so that we may serve You wholeheartedly, loving You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Help us to see others through Your eyes, considering their needs above our own, just as Christ did for us.

We confess our sins before You, knowing that if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves. Forgive us, Lord, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. We release any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in our hearts, entrusting those who have wronged us into Your hands. May they come to repentance and find salvation in Christ.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Protect us from the schemes of the enemy, the deception of false teachers, and the allure of sin. Surround us with Your angels, and strengthen us to stand firm in Your truth. Keep us from compromise, and help us to walk in holiness and purity, honoring You in all we do.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We acknowledge that all authority belongs to You, and we submit ourselves to Your sovereign rule. May every prayer we lift up bring glory to Your name, for it is only through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and we thank You for the gift of salvation through faith in Him.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, knowing that He is our mediator and advocate before Your throne. May Your will be done in our lives, and may we be faithful witnesses of Your love and grace until the day of Christ’s return. Amen.

There is a holy violence in this prayer that pleases heaven. You have not come with a list of cold requests, but have traced the very pattern our Lord laid down, filling it with the marrow of Scripture and the fervor of a soul that must have its God. This is not the mumbling of a sluggard; it is the cry of one who has seen the kingdom and will not be content until it comes in power. The prayer that takes hold of the covenant, that pleads the names and attributes of the Almighty, that confesses sin with particularity and longs for sanctification with every fiber, this is the prayer that moves the arm that moves the world.

Yet let us be on guard, for even this golden prayer can be tarnished by the self-conceit that drags heavily upon its wheels. We are prone to think our fluency or our comprehensive outline has gained us a hearing, when in truth it is the merit of Christ alone and the Spirit’s groanings within us that prevail. You have well begun with the Father’s honor and kingdom; let this always be the great hammer that breaks the rock. When you plead for daily bread, let it be that you might have strength to hallow that Name. When you cry for forgiveness, let it be with a swift and ready hand to loose your own debtors, lest your prayer be strangled in its ascent by an unforgiving spirit. The sweetest mercy is to be made merciful. You have rightly laid hold of sanctification as the crown of all, to be delivered not merely from gross evil but from the deadness and carnality of nature, to be quickened in His way. That prayer for quickening is an index of life, for only those who have the quickening Spirit can truly pant for more of His divine energy. When temptation beckons through the eye or the imagination, there is no cure but this: “Quicken me, O Lord.” More grace, more life, more of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling power, this is the soul’s cry when it finds itself fascinated by a sin it thought long dead.

And what of this plea for protection from evil and the evil one? It is well placed. The world is a painted Jezebel, and our hearts are too often like Ahab, ready to be enticed. We need the Lord to turn away our eyes from beholding vanity. Do not be dismayed when such prayers seem to go unanswered for a season; prayer, mighty prayer, will prevail if it has but time. Let your faith grow more resolved, your cry more vehement, and never cease from the trust that He who preserved you from the wrath to come will compass you about with songs of deliverance. Come often from the dunghill of your weakness, as Job did, to intercede for others. This is a most excellent thing, for it fits you to become God’s instrument. Your prayer for the lost, for enemies, for those who sin against you, this stretches the tent pegs of your own soul and makes room for a larger blessing. The Lord turned again the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends; so shall He do for you. Carry on, then, with this holy pattern. Not as a charm to be mindlessly repeated, but as a living ladder set up between your poverty and His throne, until prayer is no longer a distinct act but the very glance of the eye becomes a means of communion with God.

You set before God a grand and detailed pattern of petition, woven richly with Scripture. This is good, for the soul must ever stretch itself toward heaven. Yet let us not be so occupied with the words we have arranged that we forget the disposition God requires. The incense of prayer is made acceptable not by the multitude of its spices, but by the fire of a burning heart. God receives not a beautiful arrangement of syllables, but a soul prostrate in humility, fervent in love, and above all, obedient to His commands.

See how near you draw to the danger of self-deception. You ask that God’s name be hallowed through your thoughts and deeds, yet you must test your life severely. For I would ask you: are there not Christians who do evil? I know there are. But whether there are any who live a righteous life by their own elaborate professions, I do not yet know assuredly. Do not speak to me of those who are good and orderly by nature, who frame devout prayers and feel a passing warmth. This is not virtue. Tell me of the man who can endure the exceeding violence of his passions within and still be temperate, who conquers not merely with words but in the silent battle of the heart. You cannot. For if the promise of a Kingdom and the threat of hell can scarcely keep men in virtue through daily struggle, they will hardly go after it who trust in the eloquence of their own petitions.

You cry out for the Kingdom to come with power, for the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of righteousness. But listen carefully to the Lord’s own declaration. Not everyone who says to Him, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven. He will say, “I know you not; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” You see, there is no advantage from our right confession of faith when our Lord knows us not by our works. What benefit is there in listing the names of God and the gifts of the Spirit if the Lord knows us not? The virgins were not accused of fornication or of unsound faith, but of a failure of oil, that is, they failed in almsgiving and mercy. Those who were pronounced accursed were condemned not for denying the creed, but because they had not fed Christ in the hungry.

Consider this deeply when you pray for daily bread and forgiveness. You ask your Father to forgive your debts as you forgive your debtors. This is a petition that binds you terribly. By these words, you summon judgment on your own head if your heart holds a secret grudge. The insolent man, the reviler, mars all the beauty of charity and tears asunder the members of Christ. Therefore Paul casts out of the kingdom not only the adulterous but the revilers. Great is the evil of it, and great the wound it makes. If you pray for those who sin against you, you must do it not with a mere motion of the lips but by driving out all bitterness, for when you approach God asking for mercy, you must become mercy itself.

You ask to be led not into temptation but delivered from evil. This is a necessary and constant cry, for the devil is a roaring lion. Yet understand the manner of your deliverance. The Lord delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth, and He will deliver you, not simply from danger, but from every evil work. The truest deliverance is not being kept from trials, but being preserved from yielding to sin in the midst of them. God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way of escape that ye may be able to endure it. The ability lies in God’s gracious influence, a power which we draw down by our own will. Therefore, let not your prayer be a list of demands for a life without struggle, but a plea for a will so fixed on God that it cannot be subverted.

You conclude by ascribing the Kingdom, power, and glory to Him forever. This is right, for all is from Him. But remember this: if you have forgotten God in your daily walk, if your mind is not stayed on Him continuously in humility, He might justly say, “Thou hast forgotten Me, I also will forget thee.” Great is the effect of God’s remembrance of us, and great also the effect of our remembering Him. The first leads us to choose good things; the second, that we accomplish and bring them to their end. Your elaborate prayer is but a sounding brass if it does not end in a life that remembers God in every quiet and hidden moment. Let your life be your constant Amen.
