Landlords Are Wicked, Evil, Cursed Children Of The Devil!

Landlords are wicked, evil, cursed children of the Devil. They are prideful, arrogant, selfish, and think they know everything. How much will they know when the LORD God kills them, and casts them into hell. "But I will forwarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him," Luke 12:5. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We hear the deep frustration and anger in your words, and we want to acknowledge the very real pain that can come from difficult landlord-tenant relationships. Financial strain, feeling powerless, or being treated unfairly can stir up strong emotions, and it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed in such circumstances. However, we must pause and examine the spirit behind these words, for Scripture warns us against allowing bitterness, hatred, or cursing to take root in our hearts.

The Bible teaches us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Calling others "wicked, evil, cursed children of the Devil" is not only harsh but also contrary to the love and grace Christ calls us to extend, even to those who wrong us. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we ignore injustice, but we are called to respond in a way that reflects Christ’s character, not the world’s anger.

We must also remember that landlords, like all people, are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and are accountable to Him for their actions. While some may act unjustly, it is not our place to condemn them or assume their eternal fate. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Our role is to trust that God sees all and will judge righteously.

That said, if you are experiencing unfair treatment from a landlord, we encourage you to seek godly wisdom and justice through lawful and biblical means. Proverbs 31:8-9 urges us, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." This may involve seeking mediation, legal counsel, or even finding a more just living situation if possible. Prayerfully ask God to guide you in handling this situation with wisdom and integrity.

We also want to gently address the tone of your post. While you invoke the name of Jesus, the spirit of condemnation and rage does not align with His teachings. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it (John 3:17), and as His followers, we are called to extend that same grace. Let us rebuke the spirit of bitterness and ask God to soften your heart toward those who have wronged you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, acknowledging the pain and frustration that comes from feeling mistreated. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this situation. Help us to respond in a way that honors You, even when we are wronged. Forgive us for any words or thoughts that do not reflect Your love and grace. We lift up those who may be acting unjustly, asking that You would soften their hearts and lead them to repentance. Father, we trust in Your justice and ask that You would work all things together for good, even in this difficult circumstance. Give us the strength to forgive, the courage to seek justice righteously, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on Colossians 3:12-13, "Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." May God fill you with His peace and lead you in His ways.

We hear how strong your anger is toward landlords, and we imagine there has been real strain behind these words. Housing trouble can leave a person feeling powerless and disrespected, and it is understandable to want God to see it and to make it right.

We have also seen how carrying that kind of anger for a long time tends to weigh heaviest on the person carrying it. What begins as hurt over being wronged can grow if it is not released, clouding how we see life and hardening a heart that was once soft. In the end it often harms the one who was hurt more than the one who caused the hurt, and we do not want that for you. We cannot control what a landlord does, we can only bring our own hearts honestly before the Lord and ask Him to help us walk in a different way.

When those surges of anger rise, it can help to pause and name them before God as they come, and to talk them through with a trusted pastor or counselor who knows your situation. If there is a specific housing concern pressing on you right now, seeking calm, wise counsel about practical next steps can also protect your peace and your home.

Father, we lift this dear one to You. You see the frustration and the hurt that has built up. Bring peace where there has been turmoil, wisdom for each decision that needs to be made, and provision for a safe place to live. Soften what has been hardened by anger and draw this heart closer to Your mercy and rest. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words have been heard, and the pain that lies behind them is not overlooked by the Lord. Yet the prayer you have offered is not one that Scripture teaches us to pray. It is right to fear Him who after He has killed has power to cast into hell, as Luke 12:5 declares, for the fear of the Lord is wise and holy. But that same Lord who is to be feared is also the God with whom there is forgiveness, and His Word says, There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.

We must remember what we ourselves have needed. There is a divine forgiveness, not from man but from God Himself, saying I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a surprising forgiveness, so great that God speaks as though marveling at His own mercy, and a complete forgiveness that blots out the debt entirely, nailing the record to the cross. If you have felt the bitterness of your own sin against Christ, that bitterness, when truly known, takes away all bitterness against your fellow men. The soul that has mourned for Him as one mourns for an only son finds the world losing its charms and finds its heart made sweet, gentle, kind, tender and forgiving towards others.

Our pattern is this, Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. He lived forgiving, He died praying Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. He keeps no back reckonings and retains no reserves of anger, and He continues daily to forgive. If we have received so much manifest forgiveness, so much outward sin forgiven, then for us to forgive should become as natural as to open our hands.

To call down cursing upon landlords, or upon any class of men, is not the way of that living, loving, lasting union with Christ which every believer is called to enjoy. Christ's love to us begins the union, love to the unworthy, love to enemies, love to those who had no hope apart from Him, and that loving union brings us safely through the temptations of life, including the temptation to pride, anger and a hard spirit when we feel wronged.

If you have suffered injustice, bring that wrong to the Lord and seek His justice in His way, but do not ask Him to destroy souls He is willing to save. Pray rather that you may be forgiven as you forgive, and pray for those who have wronged you, that they also may find that there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son, for there is forgiveness now, at this moment, for the chief of sinners who will repent and believe. There is no forgiveness except through Christ, but through Him the forgiveness is unlimited, with no qualifying words, and it stands open as long as life lasts.

May the Lord turn your heart from cursing to blessing, from bitterness to sweetness, and give you grace to love your enemies and to do good to them that despitefully use you. Seek first His mercy for your own soul, trust in Christ alone for salvation, and then extend to others the same mercy you have received.

Your prayer reveals a heart that is burdened with anger and bitterness toward landlords, and we have heard the pain behind your words. Yet the way this prayer is framed calls for correction and for mercy, because the desire that God would kill others and cast them into hell is not the prayer God calls us to pray.

Scripture does teach us to fear God, who alone has power over life and judgment, as you quoted from Luke. But that holy fear is meant to turn us first to examine ourselves and to seek His mercy for our own sins, not to pronounce condemnation on others. When we set ourselves up to condemn another, we lay down the measure by which we ourselves will be judged, and we bring that strict judgment upon ourselves.

Bitterness is described as a root, and a root of bitterness can only bear bitter fruit. It does not stay small. Bitterness produces wrath, wrath produces anger, anger produces clamor and railing and malice, and in the end it destroys the one who holds it. There is nothing sweet or healthful that can come from a bitter soul, only sorrow and unrest. In hating others we punish ourselves, just as in loving them we benefit ourselves. The one who learns not to hate is freed from continual anger and from the despondency and vain sorrows that anger brings, and he comes to enjoy peace and many blessings.

Christ teaches a different way. He does not set a limit of seven times for forgiveness, but seventy times seven, which means forgiveness that is infinite and perpetual. We are called to put away all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and railing, with all malice, and to become kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave us. To bear meekly the spiteful acts of others, even when we feel wronged, brings great gain. It leads to deliverance from sins, to fortitude and patience, to mildness and benevolence, and to freedom from anger.

We do not deny that landlords, like all people, can act selfishly or unjustly, and God will judge all injustice with perfect righteousness. But to declare a whole group of people to be cursed children of the devil and to wish for their destruction is to take the place of God as judge and to harden your own heart. All of us were enemies of God through sin, and we all need the same grace that comes only through Jesus Christ.

We pray for you now, that God would cut this bitterness up by its roots and take away the anger that weighs on you. We ask Him to grant you a calm and gentle spirit, to fill you with kindness and tenderheartedness, and to help you forgive as you have been forgiven. We ask Him to show you His mercy in Christ, to deliver you from the burden of hatred, and to lead you into the peaceful haven that belongs to those who walk with Him. May you be freed from the desire to see others condemned, and may you instead learn to pray for them and to do good to them, trusting all judgment to the Lord who judges rightly.

Your words reveal a deep hurt and strong anger toward landlords, and it is understandable that experiences with unfair treatment can stir up frustration. Yet the way this anger has been expressed, calling an entire group cursed children of the devil and asking God to kill them and cast them into hell, is not the path Scripture calls us to follow.

You quoted Jesus when He said to fear Him who after He has killed has power to cast into hell. That is a true and solemn warning, and it is meant to turn our own hearts toward reverence for God, knowing He alone has authority over eternal judgment. It is not given to us as a prayer to call down destruction on other people.

There is an anger that is not sinful, an anger at real sin and unrighteousness and injustice. Jesus Himself showed anger when God's house was dishonored and when hard hearts kept people from receiving good. But Scripture also warns to be angry and not sin, and not to let anger settle and harden. When anger is allowed to remain, it grows into bitterness, wrath, clamor, evil speaking and malice, and those things grieve the Holy Spirit. One bitter root left to grow can trouble your own soul and spread to defile many around you.

In earlier times men like David and Jeremiah at times prayed for God to bring judgment on their enemies. Under the new covenant Jesus teaches a different way for His followers, to bless those who curse you and to pray for those who mistreat you. Vengeance belongs to the Lord. He is slow to anger, patient and merciful, great in power, and He reserves wrath for His own righteous judgment. He does not delight in the death of the wicked but shows patience, desiring that people come to repentance.

That mercy is the same mercy we all need. Scripture says we were all at one time under the penalty of sin, but through faith in Jesus Christ God does not count iniquity against those who trust in Him. He has made a righteous basis for forgiveness through the blood of Christ, so that though sins are as scarlet they can be made white as snow when we confess and receive His pardon.

Instead of asking God to destroy landlords, ask Him to do a work in your own heart first, to pull up any root of bitterness before it grows deeper, and to fill you with kindness and forgiveness even as God in Christ has forgiven you. Pray that God would bring conviction where there is real greed or pride, and that He would bring repentance and salvation to those who do wrong. Pray also for wisdom and for just and peaceful ways to address any wrong you have suffered, seeking what is fair without cursing.

If you have spoken curses or wished for others to be damned, bring that to the Lord in confession. There is forgiveness and cleansing when you repent and ask Him. Let Him replace the desire for judgment on others with a desire for His mercy to be shown to them and for His righteousness to guard your own heart.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning the burden you shared about landlords and the deep frustration you are experiencing.

We have continued to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring peace to your heart, to provide for your needs regarding housing, and to work with justice and mercy in this situation. We understand that you quoted Luke 12:5 about fearing Him who has power to cast into hell, and it is true that God is holy and will judge all unrighteousness. At the same time we are reminded in scripture that vengeance belongs to the Lord as it says in Romans 12:19 and that we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who we feel have wronged us as it says in Matthew 5:44. We have prayed that God would remove any bitterness and fill you with His peace and that He would also work in the hearts of those landlords, drawing them toward repentance and the knowledge of His grace, as He desires all to come to repentance.

We pray that the Lord will comfort you, provide for you, help you to walk in forgiveness and freedom as it says in Ephesians 4:32, and that He will be your refuge and provider in every housing need. We pray for His will to be done and for His righteous judgment and mercy to prevail. We pray this in Jesus Name.

If your request was answered and you have seen peace restored or provision made, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered and the struggle remains heavy, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
