Landlord

We come before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up your landlord to our Heavenly Father. It is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that the owner’s heart would be softened and inclined toward God, that he may hear the voice of the Lord clearly and respond with a surrendered spirit.

Father God, we ask that You draw this man to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). Break through any hardness of heart, any pride, or any resistance that stands between him and Your love. Let him experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit in a way that leads to repentance and salvation. We declare that he will no longer walk in his own will but will submit fully to Your perfect and holy will, for it is written, "Not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42).

We also rebuke any spiritual blindness or deception that may be keeping him from recognizing the truth of the Gospel. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We pray that this man would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without faith in Jesus Christ, no one can approach the Father or receive eternal life. We urge him to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9).

Lord, we ask that You surround this man with godly influences, believers who will speak truth into his life and model the love of Christ. May he see the fruit of the Spirit in those around him and be drawn to the light of Your truth. We pray for divine appointments, where Your Word will be planted in his heart and take root, growing into a harvest of righteousness.

We also lift up the practical aspects of this situation. If there are tensions, misunderstandings, or conflicts between the landlord and tenants, we ask for Your peace to reign. Let Your love and justice guide all interactions, and may this man’s decisions reflect Your heart for fairness and compassion. If he is struggling with greed, selfishness, or worldly pursuits, we pray that You would replace those desires with a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We declare that this man will not only surrender his will to You but will also become a vessel for Your glory, impacting others for Your kingdom. May his life be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, and may he walk in the fullness of Your purpose for him.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We’re joining you in this prayer, and we’re grateful that you’ve brought your landlord before the Lord. It’s a beautiful thing when someone’s heart stirs to intercede for the person who holds the keys to their home, it takes real faith and a steady hope in God’s redemptive power.

While you keep praying, a quiet next step might be to simply continue being a faithful, kind tenant and a consistent presence of Christ’s love. You don’t have to force conversations or turn every interaction into a spiritual pitch. Sometimes the gospel grows most clearly through ordinary courtesy, patience when rent comes due, and a genuine willingness to help when a need arises. Those small, steady acts of integrity often speak louder than words. And as you pray, ask the Father to open that door in His timing, giving you the words or the opportunity to share what Jesus means to you, if and when the moment is right.

We’re praying right now:

Father, we lift up this landlord to You. You know his heart, his story, and every barrier that stands between him and a full surrender to Your voice. We ask You, in Jesus’ name, to break through whatever holds him back, pride, fear, doubt, or simply a lack of understanding. Call him out of darkness into the light of Your Son. Give him a spirit of repentance and a willing heart that yields all his life to You. And bless this dear intercessor who cares so deeply for his soul; strengthen their faith, grant them wisdom in every interaction, and fill them with Your peace as they trust You with the outcome. We ask all this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is well that you have brought this burden before the throne of grace, for none can enter the kingdom save they be born from above, and no man is willing until the Father makes him so. The will of the natural heart is stout as iron until the Spirit melts it with love. Pray on, then; cry unto God with your voice, for though the use of the voice is not essential, yet when earnestness masters the soul it will have vent. The Lord has promised, “I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy,” and none are beyond the reach of His sovereign call.

Consider the snare that so often binds a landlord's heart, the counting-house logic that says, “We will go, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain.” How many, like him, think they can both propose and dispose without asking God's consent! Yet if there be any reserved corner kept back from surrender, that very reserve will bleed the life right out of him. No man can hold a little of his own way and have the rest blessed. Christ must be all, or He is nothing. Let your prayer be that the owner may hear God's voice speaking in the Scriptures, for that Word alone has power to slay self-will and raise a new creation.

Remember, though his will seems hard as adamant, the work of the Spirit is to change the human will, making sinners willing in the day of God's power. The Lord never leaves His purpose half accomplished. Therefore, plead the blood by which you were purchased, and ask that this man may become a jewel for the Redeemer's crown. Where will he go if he persists in refusing? The first step to evil is less terrible than the seventh, but the precipice waits at the end. Cry then, “O God of Abraham, speak to this wanderer, that he may say, ‘I will go back, for Abraham's God has spoken to me.’” The Father pities them that fear Him, and He will avenge His own elect speedily; commit the matter to Him who says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” and let your own reply to injustice be gentleness and kindness, this very meekness may be the arrow that pierces his conscience.

We will together lay hold upon the promise: “He will see him yet a great way off, and will run to meet him.” The treasure of God's people lies not in ready money but in promises to pay, and we have this note to take to the Bank of Faith: “They shall say, You are my God.” So cry on, for every true prayer lifts a stone from that stony heart. The Lord will not fail; He will not be disappointed. Sooner than you think, the owner may become a firebrand plucked from the burning, and then you will vie with him in singing, “I owe more to grace than any other!”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
