Landlord

We come before the throne of grace with a burdened heart for your landlord, lifting him up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray that your landlord would come to know this truth and surrender his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Father God, we ask that You would soften the heart of this landlord. Remove any hardness, pride, or rebellion that may be hindering him from hearing Your voice. Ezekiel 36:26 says, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." Lord, we pray for this transformation in his life. May he be convicted of his need for a Savior and respond to Your call with repentance and faith.

We rebuke any spirit of greed, selfishness, or worldliness that may be influencing his decisions and actions. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and declare that this landlord is a child of God, created for Your glory. We pray that he would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all his needs will be met according to Your riches in glory (Matthew 6:33).

Lord, we ask that You would surround him with godly influences, believers who can speak truth into his life and model the love of Christ. May he see the light of the gospel through the lives of those around him and be drawn to the hope found only in Jesus.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you as you interact with him. May you be a witness of Christ’s love and grace, reflecting His character in all your dealings. Let your life be a testament to the transforming power of the gospel, so that he may see Christ in you.

Father, we surrender this landlord into Your hands, trusting that You are at work even when we cannot see it. We declare that Your will shall be done in his life, and we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear your heart for your landlord, and we’re joining you in bringing him before the Father. It’s a beautiful thing when we care enough about someone, even someone we know in a practical, everyday relationship, to keep lifting them to God.

We take courage in knowing that God’s very nature is to seek the lost. From the garden, He asked, “Where are you?”, and that same pursuing love is reaching out to your landlord right now. When we pray for someone to surrender to God’s voice and will, we’re not trying to twist God’s arm; we’re stepping into what He already desires. Every quiet prayer you offer is a partnership in that holy pursuit.

Continue with steady hope, even if you don’t see immediate change. Some soil takes longer to soften, but the Spirit works in ways we cannot measure. In the meantime, your own kindness and integrity as a tenant can be a living witness, not to pressure, but simply to let Christ’s character shine in ordinary moments.

Let’s keep entrusting him to the One who is able to save completely.

Jesus, we lift up this landlord to You. You know his name, his story, and everything that holds him back. Quiet the voices that drown out Your call, and give him ears to hear. Draw him gently past his defenses and into full surrender, his will, his life, his whole self, placed safely in the Father’s hands. And please renew our friend’s hope; help them to pray with confidence and to rest in Your perfect timing. In Your strong name, Amen.

The work of salvation hinges entirely upon the will of God and not upon the will of man. This is the unshakable rock upon which all true intercession must rest. You are not beseeching a reluctant deity but pleading with the One who declares, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.” It is the Father’s good pleasure to give the kingdom, and His sovereign grace does not dangle upon the thread of human volition. When you pray for this landlord’s surrender, you are asking precisely what God has covenanted to do for His elect, to make them willing in the day of His power. The voice of God, when it speaks with creative authority, is not a suggestion whispered into the ear of a neutral free agent; it is a Divine fiat that raises the spiritually dead. Lazarus came forth not because he summoned a latent inclination to obey, but because the voice that commanded him carried its own power of performance. So pray with boldness, for you are asking the Lord to do His own appointed business.

Underneath are the everlasting arms, though the man knows it not. These arms are not merely cushions for the falling saint but a mighty undertow drawing the drowning sinner to the shore. The goodness of God, which has preserved this man’s very breath until this hour, is meant to lead him to repentance. Every sunrise he has squandered, every meal he has consumed without gratitude, every moment of forbearance he has mistaken for indifference, all these are arguments Jehovah is marshalling against his rebellion. Do not think your prayers are battering against a brazen wall. No, God often reveals Himself by men to men, and by His Holy Scriptures a precious text laid home to an aching heart will soon give it peace. The divine voice may sound through a sermon, a providential trial, or a sudden meditation upon his mortality. He may be busy with his merchandise and his trade, thinking he can buy and sell and get gain without asking God’s consent at all, but the Lord knows how to hedge up his way with thorns and build a wall that he cannot scale until he finds his paths blocked by mercy in disguise.

This salvation, when it arrives, will be God’s from top to bottom. It will be a real salvation in its constancy, not a temporary spasm of terror but a permanent renovation of the heart. Wherever we spiritually see Christ, we see God’s salvation. And mark this, if God is so near, it is an evident impossibility to deceive Him, He is not mocked. The Spirit will not settle for a partial surrender; He will press the matter until every idol tumbles and the will itself is bent into glad captivity. God’s will about the future is that this man should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, with holy reverence but relentless faith, keep asking. If it is God’s truth that you declare in your petitions, if God Himself has laid this burden upon you, then you are not praying against the grain of the universe but along the very grain of His decrees. His promise may tarry, but it never fails. Has God forgotten to be gracious? What hot shots these are for unbelief! Cease measuring the distance between the prayer and the answer; God’s nearness is what matters. Whether this landlord sees it yet or not, the eternal arms are at the bottom of his dying bed, at the bottom of his counting-house, at the bottom of his deepest fall, ready to catch him and make him cry out, “You are my God.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The voice of the Father still speaks, not from Sinai with darkness and dread, but through the flesh of His Son. He who once cried from heaven at the Jordan and on the mount now testifies in every page of Scripture, and that testimony is unshakable. When Saul of Tarsus met that voice on the Damascus road, all his raging will was broken in a moment, and the persecutor became the preacher. The same light that blinded him gave sight to his soul, and his surrender was immediate and total. So let us not doubt that this landlord, too, can be arrested by that same voice.

Pray then with confidence, for the Lord’s voice is not weak or distant. It is not a whisper lost in earthly worries, but the very power that flung the stars into space. And if those with Saul saw the light and heard a sound, yet only he heard the words intended for his heart, so now the Spirit can pierce the conscience of this man until all pride and self-will fall away. The Scriptures are the Father’s testimony, and they are enough to leave any hearer without excuse.

Ask boldly, then, that the owner’s will be conquered, not by force but by the sweet compulsion of truth. Let his mind be flooded with the brightness that shames every sinful refuge, and let him hear the question that unraveled Saul: “Why do you persecute Me?” For when a man sees that his resistance is against Christ Himself, he crumbles. May that voice so thunder in his inward ear that he yields every possession, every ambition, and every breath to the Father who gave them. The Lord is able to turn the hardest heart in a single noon, for He is the Saviour of the body and the Head of all things. Therefore we do not command as though we had authority, but we entreat through the Mediator who still speaks, and we trust that what He has begun in your prayers He will complete.

Your prayer carries the very heart of what God seeks from every person. He is still speaking, still extending His voice into the life of your landlord, and that is the foundation of all hope. When that voice calls, a choice is placed before a man: life or death. Not in a vague sense, but in the concrete crossroads of surrender or resistance. The record is clear that God has given us eternal life, and that life is in His Son. No one possesses it apart from Him. So you are standing in the gap for the most critical decision any soul can face.

What does it mean to submit to God’s voice and surrender his will? Many people hold a confused idea about this. They treat surrender like a negotiation, offering to serve the Lord as long as He agrees with their plans, as long as they can hold onto a certain ambition or relationship or habit. But that is not the surrender of a servant. It is the strategy of a man trying to retain the throne himself. True yielding is patterned after the burnt offering: a complete consecration where my own desires are consumed and I say, “Lord, I am Yours to use for Your purposes.” God is not looking for a truce where we give Him a portion as long as He lets us rule the rest. He calls for a covenant where we proclaim Him as our God and commit to walk in His ways, to diligently obey His voice rather than shun it.

Remember, a person becomes a slave to whatever he yields himself to obey. If your landlord yields to the desires of his own flesh, his own will, or the deceptive pull of this world, he remains a servant of sin, and the end of that path is death. But if he yields himself to God unto righteousness, presenting his life as an instrument for God’s glory, he becomes a servant of the living God. And that is not a loss of freedom; it is the discovery of it. It is stepping out of the famine, the pestilence, and the sword of a life lived in rebellion, and into the saving life of the One who makes intercession for us. God does not force this choice. He will not cross the will He gave your landlord. He sets the way of life and the way of death before him and honors the decision. That is why your prayer is so vital.

Pray specifically that God would open his eyes and shatter any deception the enemy has pulled over them. The blinding power of sin has a way of distorting true values, making the things that lead to ruin seem attractive. Ask that God would cause him to hear the voice clearly and understand that the dice are loaded against anyone who goes against His Word. There is no way to win that war. Pray that his heart would not be like those who say, “We will obey,” only to turn right around and go their own way when the command cuts against their comfort. Instead, pray that he would have the kind of hearing that Moses had at the burning bush: a heart tuned not to self-preservation, but to the voice of the One who holds his soul in life.

The very fact that you are burdened to pray this way is a sign that God’s voice has not fallen silent over this man’s life. He is still talking, and while He speaks, there is opportunity. Take heart in this: the purpose of prayer is always to get God’s will done, and you are praying exactly according to His revealed will. He desires that none perish, that every life be yielded to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. So bring this request before Him persistently. He attends to the voice of our prayers. As you do, look with expectation. The same God who reconciled us when we were enemies is able to turn a stubborn heart into one that chooses life, that consents to leave the doomed city and surrender into the hands of the One who alone can save and bless.
