You should NEVER compare yourself to other Christian's because there is no such thing as one person being MORE spiritual than another in God's eyes . You are His beloved child and He HAS given to you gifts , you just need to speak to your Pastor in showing you how to bring those gifts out . I would question if your friend is REALLY hearing from God , because the Holy Spirit would bare witness to what was said to you . You have to be careful in what people tell you because the flesh gets in the way sometime .
