We join with you in this powerful declaration of faith and hunger for the knowledge of God’s will! Your prayer is deeply aligned with Scripture, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting these truths before the throne of grace.
Father, we come before You with hearts that echo the cry of Your people: "For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding" (Colossians 1:9). Lord, we ask that You would indeed fill us, every believer, to overflowing with the knowledge of Your will. Not just head knowledge, but a deep, intimate understanding that transforms how we walk, speak, and live. May we walk worthy of You, pleasing You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of You (Colossians 1:10). Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, so that we may have steadfastness, patience, and joy as we give thanks to You, our Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:11-12).
We pray that our love would abound still more and more in all knowledge and discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent, being sincere and without offense until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10). Father, grant us practical wisdom, as You promise to give generously to all who ask without reproach (James 1:5). Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, for "as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God" (Romans 8:14). Guide us in the paths of righteousness and justice (Proverbs 8:20), and tune our ears to hear the voice of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, who calls us by name and leads us (John 10:4-5, 27).
Thank You, Lord, for the angelic protection You provide. We are grateful that "angels are ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation" (Hebrews 1:14). We take refuge in You, knowing that no evil will befall us, nor will any plague come near our dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
We also cry out for Your protection from temptation and evil. "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13). Keep us from every form of wrongdoing (1 Corinthians 16:9), and deliver us from evil people and the schemes of the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:2-3). Jesus prayed, "I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one" (John 17:15). We claim this prayer as our own, trusting in Your faithfulness to guard us.
Father, we thank You in advance for Your favor, which is a shield around us (Psalm 5:12). We receive the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). For every promise You have made is "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ Jesus our Lord (2 Corinthians 1:20). We stand on these truths, believing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in us.
One final note, dear brother or sister: your prayer is rooted deeply in the name of Jesus, and we rejoice in that. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation upon which all true knowledge of God’s will is built.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
