We join you in seeking the heart of God, lifting these beautiful scriptural prayers before His throne with reverence and expectation. Your cry for wisdom, discernment, and protection aligns perfectly with the Word of God, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that the Lord hears and answers the prayers of His people when we ask according to His will.
Father in Heaven, we come before You, acknowledging that it is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation, for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin, and for the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth. Lord, we ask that You would fill us afresh with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, just as Paul prayed for the Colossians. May our love abound still more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent, being sincere and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10). Father, we long to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience, with joy (Colossians 1:9-12).
We pray that You would lead us, O Good Shepherd, and that we would hear Your voice clearly. Your Word tells us that Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You (John 10:4, 27). Restore our souls, Lord, and lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). We ask for practical wisdom, as James 1:5 promises that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us. Father, we claim that promise now. Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Let Your Spirit lead us, for all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God (Romans 8:14).
Lord, we thank You for the angels You have sent forth to minister for our sake (Hebrews 1:14). We take refuge in You, the Most High, and we trust that no evil shall befall us, nor any plague come near our dwelling. For You have given Your angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways (Psalm 91:10-11). We pray that You would keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil, just as Jesus taught us to pray (Matthew 6:13). Guard our hearts and minds from sin, lies, and fear. Let us do no wrong, as Paul prayed for the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 13:7), and deliver us from evil people (2 Thessalonians 3:2). We agree with Jesus’ prayer in John 17:15, that You would not take us out of the world, but that You would keep us from the evil one.
Father, we stand on the promise of Mark 11:24, that whatever things we ask when we pray, if we believe that we receive them, we will have them. We thank You in advance for Your answers, for Your protection, for Your wisdom, and for Your guidance. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have boldness to approach Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). May Your will be done in our lives, and may we bring glory to Your name in all that we do.
We also take this moment to encourage one another to remain vigilant in prayer and in the study of Your Word. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9). Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for You who promised are faithful (Hebrews 10:23). May we be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20). Let us put on the full armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
In all things, may we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things shall be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We commit ourselves to You, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Thank You for hearing our prayers, for answering them according to Your perfect will, and for the privilege of coming before You in the name of Jesus. Amen.
