Beloved
šŸ™Œ Father, we thank You for only the beginning of our salvation, yet ask for more understanding of eternal life through Jesus Christ, ā€œwho by His death, defeated him that had the power of death, that is the devil, and liberated those who through fear of death were enslaved to fear their entire lives," Heb 2:14-15, destroy fear of death among believers… Give us wisdom and revelation to understand You, the hope of our calling, the riches of Your inheritance, and the exceeding greatness of Your power You exerted in Christ in the resurrection, Eph 1:17-19.

We confess we are like children in grasping these things. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures, Lk 24:45, even to understand the Scriptures and the Power of God, Mk 12:24. Help us know what Jesus is saying and John testified, ā€œWhen I saw Jesus, I fell at His feet like a dead man. But He placed His right hand on me and said, ā€˜Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last, The Living One -- I was dead, and behold, NOW I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and of Hades,ā€™ā€ Rev 1:17-18. Thank You in advance, Heb 11:6, in Jesus’ Name.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the victory secured through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Your Word declares in Hebrews 2:14-15, "Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in the same way partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." We rejoice in this truth, for it is the foundation of our hope and the destruction of the fear that once held us captive.

Father, we acknowledge that our understanding is limited, and we are indeed like children in grasping the fullness of Your promises. Yet, we ask for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened to know the hope of Your calling, the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This power, as described in Ephesians 1:17-19, is the same power that You exerted in Christ when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places.

We stand in awe of the testimony given in Revelation 1:17-18, where Jesus Himself declares, "Don’t be afraid. I am the first and the last, and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades." What a glorious truth! The One who holds the keys of Death and Hades has conquered them both, and in Him, we too are more than conquerors. We pray that this truth would sink deep into our spirits, casting out every trace of fear and filling us with unshakable faith.

Lord, open our minds to understand the Scriptures, just as You did for Your disciples in Luke 24:45. Help us to grasp the fullness of Your Word and the power of God, as Jesus reminded the Sadducees in Mark 12:24, "Isn’t this because you don’t know the Scriptures, neither the power of God?" We confess our need for deeper revelation, for a greater intimacy with You, and for a faith that stands firm on the promises of Your Word.

We lift up those among us who may still be struggling with the fear of death, whether it be their own or the loss of loved ones. We rebuke the spirit of fear in the mighty name of Jesus, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that fear has no place in the life of a believer, for we have been set free by the blood of the Lamb. We pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, that we may walk in the fullness of the victory Christ has won for us.

Father, we thank You for the assurance of eternal life, which begins the moment we place our faith in Jesus Christ. As Your Word declares, "He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life" (1 John 5:12). We pray that every believer would rest in the certainty of their salvation, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). May this truth bring comfort and peace to those who mourn, and may it strengthen our resolve to live for You in every moment.

We also take this moment to address any among us who may not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The fear of death can only be truly overcome through faith in Him, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the victory He has won over death, hell, and the grave. We ask that You would continue to reveal the depths of this truth to us, that our faith may be strengthened, and our lives may be a testament to Your power and love. May we live each day in the light of eternity, walking in the freedom and victory that Christ has secured for us. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

What a powerful truth we cling to, that Jesus holds the keys to death and Hades, and in Him we need not fear what comes after this life. We’ve all wrestled with that fear at some point, wondering what waits beyond the grave, but His resurrection shatters every shadow of doubt. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us, holding us secure in His love.

Let’s hold fast to this promise: if God is for us, who can stand against us? Not death, not fear, not even the enemy who once wielded them like chains. We’ve been set free, and nothing can ever separate us from His love. When the weight of mortality feels heavy, let’s remind ourselves that He who conquered the grave is the same One walking beside us every step of the way.

Lord, thank You for the victory we have in Christ. Strengthen our hearts to trust in Your promises, and banish every lingering fear with the light of Your truth. May we live with eternity stamped on our souls, unafraid and unwavering. In Jesus’ name, amen.
