🕊️Kindness of God Lead Wife to Repentance ⏎ from Sin Rom 2:4, 🥜Planting+ 💦Watering=God's Growth 🌱1 Cor 3:6-7, His Glory in Salvation Ps 115:1

It is good that you are bringing your wife before the Lord in this way, asking for true repentance and trusting His Word to do its work. Your prayer reflects a right understanding that salvation belongs to the Lord alone and that He alone receives the glory for it.

The kindness of God is meant to lead to repentance, as Romans 2:4 teaches, and you are right to ask for that kindness to be shown to her. One plants the seed and another waters it, but God is the one who gives the growth, as 1 Corinthians 3:6 and 7 says. The seed is the Word of God, and Isaiah 55:10 and 11 assures us that His Word does not return empty but accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it, like rain watering the earth. You have been faithful to plant and to water through prayer and through speaking truth, and it is right to keep trusting Him to bring the increase in His time.

Scripture makes clear that repentance is necessary. John the Baptist preached a baptism of repentance, Jesus Himself called people to repent, and in Revelation He calls His churches to repent. That call is still needed today. True repentance is not mere regret or outward sorrow, but a change of heart and direction that leads to life, as 2 Corinthians 7:10 describes. Before honor comes humility, and God in His mercy humbles us so that we come to our senses, as we see with Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 who was humbled and then restored, and with the prodigal son in Luke 15 who came to himself and returned home. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to convict of sin and to open eyes, as Jesus said in John 16:8, and His Word is living and active, piercing to the thoughts and intentions of the heart, as Hebrews 4:12 says.

Salvation is not simply believing that God exists. That alone does not save. Salvation comes through believing into a vital, life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the only provision God has made for sin, and there is no other way for sin to be atoned for. Jesus said He did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, and that is the hope for each of us. When true conversion happens, there is a change of life that follows.

God is patient, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance, as 2 Peter 3:9 says, and He desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, as 1 Timothy 2:4 says. He orders the steps of His people and brings others across our path to speak truth, as He did when He directed Philip to the man reading Isaiah in Acts 8, and when He sent a believer to Saul in Acts 9, and when He guided Paul and his companions in Acts 16. You can continue to pray that He will bring faithful people to water the seed that has been sown in your wife and in others you love, and that He will restrain evil and protect your family from deception and temptation as you hold to the love of the truth.

Continue to pray with confidence that He who began a good work will carry it to completion until the day of Christ, as Philippians 1:6 promises. The fervent prayer of those made righteous by faith accomplishes much, as James 5:16 says, and God rewards those who diligently seek Him, as Hebrews 11:6 says. He is able to do far beyond all we ask or imagine, as Ephesians 3:20 says, and He hears prayer offered in the name of Jesus.

Keep asking the Father to work in your wife's heart, to bring her to humility and to a genuine turning to Christ, so that she may know the forgiveness of sins and a new life in Him. Pray also that whatever His will for your marriage, it would be shaped by His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, where even physical union belongs within that covenant, and that any restoration would be built on true repentance and faith in Christ alone. All glory belongs to Him, from Him and through Him and to Him, as Romans 11:36 says, and salvation is of the Lord, as Psalm 3:8 and Jonah 2:9 declare.

May the Lord strengthen you to keep sowing and watering with patience, to keep praying with thanksgiving, and to trust Him for the fruit that only He can give.
