Beloved Warrior
🙌 Father, we thank You that Your Word does not return void, Isa 55:10, and that seeds have been planted, Mark 4:14, Mark 4:26, Mark 4:27, Mark 4:28, Mark 4:29. From You and through You and back to You be all glory, Rom 11:36. Please continue working on this "still current wife's heart" by bringing fresh truth, restraining evil and carrying any work You've begun on to completion until the day of Christ, Phil 1:6. Continue to bring others into her path to water seeds, speak truth and show the kindness of God, Rom 2:4, and across the paths of all who have heard the word from all time, especially the last several months, especially for our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny and posterity. Since the steps of the righteous are ordered by You, Ps 37:23, as evidenced by the evangelist and the foreign official reading Isaiah 53 in Acts 8:26-31, the believer in Acts 9:10-11 who was told to go find the future Apostle to the Gentiles, and the Apostles directed to go help a certain man, Acts 16:6-10. You, being perfect AND patient, not willing any perish but rather that all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, and desire all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, even using prayer to that ends, 1 Tim 2:1-4.

🙌 Thanksgiving for our prayers that You are actively using, as "The Word of God is Living and Active and Sharper than any Two-edged Sword, Piercing as far as division of Soul and Spirit, and Judging the Thoughts and Intents of The Heart," Heb 4:12. "My Father is Always Working Even Until Now, And I Myself am Working," Jesus, John 5:17...

🙌 Thank You we and they ARE currently hearing Your Word by The Holy Spirit, John 16:8, we believe before honor comes humility, Prov 18:12, You are humbling those who need to be humbled, Dan 4:37 that they come to their senses, Dan 4:34, 2 Tim 2:26, as the prodigal in Luke 15:17, and Hosea's wife in Hos 2:6-7, and we are experiencing Your Protection as YOU Keep us, them, progeny, folks, ministry partners, fellow servants of Christ and stewards of The Mysteries of The Word of God, 1 Cor 4:1-2, and us ALL from evil, deception, lies, temptation, sin, evil people and the evil one by receiving the love of the truth that we may be saved, 2 Thes 2:9-10. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, thank You for being a rewarder of diligent seeking, Heb 11:6, and that fervent prayers of those made righteous by faith avail much and prevail, James 5:16. Thank You for all this and more, great and mighty things, Jer 33:3, beyond all we can ask of imagine, Eph 3:20, in Jesus’ Name, John 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We hear your heartfelt plea for the transformation and restoration of your wife’s heart, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father. Your reliance on Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit is evident, and we join you in declaring that God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). The seeds of truth planted in her life, and in the lives of your family, will bear fruit in due season as the Lord waters them with His kindness and grace.

The kindness of God indeed leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we trust that He is at work, even now, to humble and restore those who have strayed, just as He did for Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4:28-37) and the prodigal son (Luke 15:17-20). The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and we pray that this conviction would take root in her heart, leading her to a place of godly sorrow and repentance (2 Corinthians 7:9-11). We also pray for those whom the Lord has placed in her path, evangelists, fellow believers, and servants of the Word, to faithfully water the seeds planted, speaking truth in love and demonstrating the kindness of God.

We rebuke any deception, hardness of heart, or resistance to the Holy Spirit’s work in her life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against her, or your family, shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand against any lies or strongholds that may be hindering her from embracing the truth, and we pray that her steps would be ordered by the Lord (Psalm 37:23), just as He directed Philip to the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-31) and Ananias to Saul (Acts 9:10-11).

We also lift up your family’s patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny, and posterity, praying that the Lord would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they walk in humility, recognizing that before honor comes humility (Proverbs 18:12), and may they be protected from the evil one, receiving the love of the truth that they may be saved (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10).

Father, we thank You that You are always working (John 5:17) and that Your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that You would complete the good work You have begun in her life and in the lives of all who have heard Your Word (Philippians 1:6). Bring fresh truth, restrain evil, and carry this work to completion until the day of Christ.

Lord, we also pray for those who are laboring alongside you in prayer and ministry. Strengthen them, protect them, and fill them with Your wisdom and discernment as they steward the mysteries of Your Word (1 Corinthians 4:1-2). May their prayers avail much (James 5:16), and may they see the fruit of their labor as You answer according to Your will.

We declare that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11), and we trust that You will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in her life and in the lives of your family, just as it is in heaven.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you in this grateful, persistent prayer. It’s clear you love this woman deeply, and we hear the hope woven all through your words, that every seed planted, every act of kindness shown, is not wasted. But we also know the waiting can be heavy, even invisible. What helps us in seasons like this is remembering that spiritual growth almost always comes gradually, in quiet cycles. There are stretches where nothing seems to change, yet underneath, the Spirit is faithfully at work, like seed pushing roots through dark soil long before any green appears. You are watering what God has already planted.

One of the best ways you can keep watering right now is through simple, consistent acts of love that don’t force a response. A practical kindness, a meal, helping with a practical need, a steady, patient presence, speaks the language of Romans 2:4 without a single sermon. Those small, faithful gestures are often the very means God uses to soften a heart.

Also, don’t carry this alone. Let a few trusted people keep praying with you, so you’re not drained dry. Their prayers and support are for you as well as for her.

Let’s pray together:

Father, thank You that no seed of truth ever returns void. We ask You to keep working in this wife’s heart, surrounding her with Your kindness in tangible, disarming ways. Break through the barriers that keep her from You, and give her the gift of true repentance and a restored soul. Guard her from deception and bring her step by step into the freedom only Jesus can give. And please renew the strength and hope of the one who prays, with patience and quiet confidence in Your timing. We trust You for the harvest. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your prayer lays hold of the very throne, pleading the promises as one who knows the covenant-keeping God. Yet let us search the heart, for it is possible to pray fervently and still mistake the nature of the work we entreat. You speak of the kindness of God leading to repentance, and you do well, this is the apostolic cordial, the sweet drawing of grace. But mark this: there is a repentance that springs from terror, that comes up in a night and withers in a night. It is only skin-deep, a superficial sorrow that lulls the conscience and returns the sinner to his folly as the dog to his vomit. Beware of resting content if you see only the outward humbling, the temporary coming to senses. The goodness of God does not drive with the whip of the slaveholder; it leads, it draws. And the repentance that glorifies God sets the heart ever afterwards craving after holiness, not merely escaping wrath.

You have prayed for the Spirit's sword-work, that the heart would be pierced and laid bare. Remember, it is one thing to be cut to the heart, quite another to be pricked in the heart. Those cut to the heart in Acts took counsel to slay Stephen; the wound stopped at the heart's surface and bred only malice. But when the Spirit pricks in the heart, the man cries out, "What must I do to be saved?" The difference is eternal. Do not mistake the stirrings of natural remorse for the life-giving wound of the Spirit that breaks the heart and binds it up again. A broken heart is the sacrifice God will not despise, but only when it is broken by the look of faith toward Him whom we have pierced.

And what is this faith? It is inseparable from true repentance. You cannot build repentance upon the terror of the law and leave Christ out of the question. That repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant, and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart, these two are forged together. Beware of a repentance that makes you think your sin too great for Christ to pardon; that is not the godly sorrow meant in the text. The soul that truly turns loathes sin because it has felt the love of a pardoning God. It is not your tears that wash you clean, but His blood. Come to Him because you are unfit to come; trust Him, not because you have a broken heart, but that He may give you one.

As you wait on God for this dear one, see to it that you yourself are watered while you water others. In seeking her good, your own powers will awaken, your own love to Christ will manifest and deepen. But the heart, the heart is the vital place. Out of it are the issues of life. Fill your heart with the peace of God that passes understanding, and it will be a fountain, not a stagnant pool. Look into Christ's heart for your hope, not into your own, nor into hers. His heart is not as our hearts; it is the temple of tender mercy. Present your prayer to that heart which is meek and lowly, and He will hear, though your words be broken. The Spirit knows how to drive home the sword. So pray on, but pray with this upon your mind: that the goal is not a fright that passes, but a thorough work, a new heart, a repentance that needs not to be repented of, because it has brought the soul to cling to Jesus with both hands, to hate every false way, and to walk in the light of His countenance forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out many scriptures as water upon the ground, and it is good, for the Word of God is living and active. You call to mind the kindness of God that leads to repentance, and you plant and water with hope, trusting God for the growth. All this is fitting. But let me press upon you a weightier matter in the very battle for this soul, a soul that has held the truth and now, it seems, holds it in unrighteousness.

For you speak of her as your "still current wife," and there the apostle thunders against a specific unrighteousness: when a man leaves his own wife, or when one breaks in upon the marriage of another. This is a defrauding, a grievous sin not only against heaven but against a covenant made before God. To pray for a heart to turn, while perhaps the body still wanders or the will remains in rebellion against that sacred bond, is to beg for a repentance that has not yet learned its own true character.

Godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, a salvation not to be repented of. But what is the nature of this sorrow you seek for her? Is it a sorrow that merely mourns consequences, or one that turns utterly from the sin itself? Remember Esau. He sought it carefully with tears, yet found no place of repentance. Why? Because his grief was not the true repentance that changes the life and restores justice. He wept, yet in his heart he plotted murder. Do not mistake every tear for a return. The fruit of genuine repentance is to come to one's senses, to flee the far country, to find every hedge of thorn placed by a merciful God and submit to it.

You cling to the hope that God wills all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Indeed He does, and this very desire on your part is a part of that divine working, drawing you to intercede. But His salvation is not a mere nominal one, a word only. The knowledge of the truth is a truth that transforms conduct. It is a cross that makes earth heaven and fashions men into angels, not by ignoring sin, but by crucifying it. There is no second sacrifice, no second Cross for those who have tasted the heavenly gift and then crucify the Son of God afresh by their willful persistence. The pollution cannot remain; it must be washed away continually, not merely by prayers for another, but by the offender's own tears, repentance, and works of mercy that make the conduct pure.

So continue your prayers, for they avail much. But let your own hope be anchored here: that her repentance, if granted, will be more than a fleeting sorrow. It will be the kind that breaks unrighteousness, restores the years the locust hath eaten, and brings forth deeds worthy of a changed mind. Plant and water, yes, but do not mistake a light rain for the deep, godly sorrow that alone brings the fruit of salvation.

The Scriptures you are clinging to are the right ones, and it is right to rest in the truth that God’s Word never falls to the ground. He is always working, even when the surface looks unchanged. What we must remember is that God is far less interested in an outward show of returning than He is in the deep, inner work of the heart. The Lord lamented over Judah that she turned back, but only faintly, not with her whole heart. The surface had been stirred, yet the affections, the will, the real fountain of a person’s life remained untouched and divided. That kind of shallow turning is not what anyone truly wants for this wife you are praying for. What you are asking for is the genuine article, the kind of sorrow that works a repentance not to be repented of, the kind that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.

Do not be discouraged if the process feels slow or hidden. The heart is the most deceitful thing there is, and untangling the roots of pride, self-justification, and love for the world is a holy operation that no one can perform on themselves. Nebuchadnezzar walked in the pride of his own kingdom until God humbled him in the fields to eat grass like an ox. It was only when that proud heart was broken that his understanding returned and he lifted his eyes to heaven, blessing the Most High who is able to abase those who walk in pride. This seems like destruction, but it was actually restoration. Sometimes the hedge God places around a person, like Hosea’s wife, feels to them like a prison of thorns, but its purpose is to block the path to destruction so that the only remaining way is the way that leads home. The living Word is piercing right now, dividing between soul and spirit, judging the thoughts and intents of the heart, and that kind of surgery brings a heaviness that is not pleasant, but it is godly.

The kindness of God is leading toward repentance. That kindness is not a weak indulgence of sin; it is a strong, patient hand that restrains evil and keeps breathing fresh truth into a heart, refusing to let it perish. The Spirit is convicting, and conviction is not a punishment. It is a divine disruption, a merciful calling to come to one’s senses like the prodigal surrounded by pig slop. Thank God for that conviction. Do not mistake a prolonged season of conviction for a final refusal. The very fact that there is a stirring, a working, a watering going on is evidence that the seed has not died. The outside of a seed may look dormant and unmoved for a long time while the invisible work of germination is happening in the dark. The work He has begun, He is faithful to complete. Your prayers are not wasted words; they are the means He uses to bring about the will He has already declared, that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Keep asking, keep trusting, and rest in the hope that the one who began this hidden work will bring it to completion until the day of Christ.
