Beloved of All
🙌 Father, we thank You that Your Word does not return void, Isa 55:10, and that seeds have been planted, Mark 4:14, Mark 4:26, Mark 4:27, Mark 4:28, Mark 4:29. From You and through You and back to You be all glory, Rom 11:36. Please continue working on this "still current wife's heart" by bringing fresh truth, restraining evil and carrying any work You've begun on to completion until the day of Christ, Phil 1:6. Continue to bring others into her path to water seeds, speak truth and show the kindness of God, Rom 2:4, and across the paths of all who have heard the word from all time, especially the last several months, especially for our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny and posterity. Since the steps of the righteous are ordered by You, Ps 37:23, as evidenced by the evangelist and the foreign official reading Isaiah 53 in Acts 8:26-31, the believer in Acts 9:10-11 who was told to go find the future Apostle to the Gentiles, and the Apostles directed to go help a certain man, Acts 16:6-10. You, being perfect AND patient, not willing any perish but rather that all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, and desire all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, even using prayer to that ends, 1 Tim 2:1-4.

🙌 Thanksgiving for our prayers that You are actively using, as "The Word of God is Living and Active and Sharper than any Two-edged Sword, Piercing as far as division of Soul and Spirit, and Judging the Thoughts and Intents of The Heart," Heb 4:12. "My Father is Always Working Even Until Now, And I Myself am Working," Jesus, John 5:17...

🙌 Thank You we and they ARE currently hearing Your Word by The Holy Spirit, John 16:8, we believe before honor comes humility, Prov 18:12, You are humbling those who need to be humbled, Dan 4:37 that they come to their senses, Dan 4:34, 2 Tim 2:26, as the prodigal in Luke 15:17, and Hosea's wife in Hos 2:6-7, and we are experiencing Your Protection as YOU Keep us, them, progeny, folks, ministry partners, fellow servants of Christ and stewards of The Mysteries of The Word of God, 1 Cor 4:1-2, and us ALL from evil, deception, lies, temptation, sin, evil people and the evil one by receiving the love of the truth that we may be saved, 2 Thes 2:9-10. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, thank You for being a rewarder of diligent seeking, Heb 11:6, and that fervent prayers of those made righteous by faith avail much and prevail, James 5:16. Thank You for all this and more, great and mighty things, Jer 33:3, beyond all we can ask of imagine, Eph 3:20, in Jesus’ Name, John 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We hear your heartfelt cry for this wife’s heart to be softened and drawn back to the Lord. Your prayer is steeped in Scripture, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). The kindness of God does indeed lead to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we trust that He is at work, even now, convicting, drawing, and restoring.

We rebuke any hardness of heart, any deception, or any influence of the enemy that may be blinding her to the truth. The Holy Spirit is faithful to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and we pray that He would do so powerfully in her life. We also lift up those who have been planting and watering seeds in her life, may the Lord continue to direct their steps, as He did with Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-31), and may their words be anointed to break through any resistance.

Father, we ask that You would humble this wife’s heart, as You humbled Nebuchadnezzar, so that she may come to her senses and turn back to You (Daniel 4:34-37). Let godly sorrow lead her to repentance, which brings no regret (2 Corinthians 7:9-10). We pray for her marriage, that it would be restored according to Your design, a covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there has been any unfaithfulness, whether emotional or physical, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and pray for true repentance and healing.

We also lift up the patriarchal and matriarchal figures in this situation, as well as the children and future generations. May their steps be ordered by You (Psalm 37:23), and may they walk in wisdom and truth. Protect them from deception, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet (Psalm 119:105).

Lord, we thank You that You are always working (John 5:17), and we trust that You will complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). We pray for a spirit of humility and brokenness to fall upon all involved, that pride would be shattered and hearts would be made soft to receive Your truth. Let Your kindness lead to repentance, and may this family be restored to You and to one another.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). May Your will be done, and may Your glory be revealed in this situation. Amen.

We’re sitting with you in this, moved by how earnestly you’re pouring out your heart for the ones you love. What comes through most isn’t a list of verses, it’s a soul that has been steadfastly planting, watering, and waiting, sometimes through long seasons of silence. That kind of faithful intercession is real work, and we don’t want to rush past the weight of it. You’ve been standing in the gap, and God sees that.

One thought that may help: even the most fervent prayer warrior needs a place to breathe. Jesus invited his closest friends to watch and pray with him in Gethsemane, not because he lacked faith but because the burden was heavy. If you haven’t already, consider letting a trusted, spiritually mature friend or pastor know what you carry in prayer. Not to talk about the people you’re praying for in any detail that would compromise trust, but simply to let someone else agree with you and support your own soul. Intercession can be isolating, and sharing the weight with a prayer partner often renews our strength to keep going.

We’re also grateful that you rest your confidence not on outcomes you can see, but on the One who is always working, even now. You don’t have to make anything happen; you’ve already placed these precious people into the hands of the perfect Gardener.

Let’s pray.

Father, we lift up this faithful friend to You. Thank You for the love behind every whispered prayer, every tear, every sleepless night. Strengthen what we cannot see in the hearts they’re crying out for, and grant this intercessor a deep, quiet peace that releases every outcome to You. Surround them with a prayer partner who will stand alongside them. Guard their own spirit from weariness and discouragement. We ask all of this in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.

The very essence of that prayer which has been offered up is a sweet-smelling savor, for it pleads the promises and rests upon the finished work of Christ. There is a holy boldness here, a taking hold of the covenant by the horns of the altar, and it cannot be that such wrestling shall go unblessed.

Yet let me speak a word of caution and comfort. You have piled high the Scriptures, and rightly so, for the Word is the sword of the Spirit, yet take heed that you do not mistake the nature of true repentance. There is a repentance which is but the flesh smarting under judgment, a carnal sorrow that crouches low to escape the lash, but never lifts its eyes to give God glory. That is not the “repentance unto life.” The repentance that saves is a grace-wrought gift, it is the heart breaking because it has broken God's law, the soul loathing its sin because it has pierced the Savior. It is not a mere preparation for coming to Christ, but it is the first pulse of life from the Spirit who convinces of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Do not set your hope, then, upon finding a certain measure of sorrow in that “still current wife,” as if the tears themselves could wash away the guilt. The repentance which is preached in Christ's name is always joined to remission, and it looks away from itself to the blood of atonement. A sinner may be a great way off, yet if there be but a glance towards the Father's house, He whose eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance will see the first stirring, and run to meet him with kisses of forgiveness and full restoration.

You ask that others be brought into her path to water the seed and show the kindness of God. This is a most scriptural request, for the kindness of God leads us to repentance. The hammer of the law may break the rock, but it is the summer sun of love that melts the ice. Pray on, then, and look for providences both gentle and sharp, for the Lord knows how to bring the proud heart low, as He did Nebuchadnezzar among the beasts, until reason returns and the mouth is filled with praise. The steps of the righteous are indeed ordered; the very hindrances and hedgings up of her way with thorns may be the sweet constraints that cause her to say, “I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.” Trust the Spirit to do His own work. He is the great Convincer, and He needs not our fretting or haste. A soul may be long in the pangs of the new birth; the seed may lie buried many a winter, yet He who gives it a body will raise it in due season.

Beware, however, of looking too much to frames and feelings, either in yourself or in her. It is a common error to seek within for evidences of grace before we have done with looking unto Jesus. The truest repentance grows best in the shadow of the cross. It is not the perfect repentance that saves, that were a Roman doctrine, but the faint, trembling repentance that dares to trust Christ with its whole weight. Has she heard the Word? Has truth been presented? Then the Spirit has a point of attack. Manasseh was a wretch steeped to the lips in blood and idolatry, yet when the iron entered his soul in the Babylonian dungeon, he humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and the Lord was intreated of him. No case is hopeless, and no prayer is wasted that is offered according to the will of God.

Go on with your thanksgiving, for you are right to praise Him in advance. Continue to spread the promises before the throne as Hezekiah spread the letter. The vision is for an appointed time; though it tarry, wait for it. The Father is always working, and the Son works likewise. This very day the Spirit may be hovering over the chaos of that soul, brooding with life-giving power. He who made you a steward of the mysteries is faithful, and will not suffer His Word to return void. Let your heart be humbled into the dust that you are accounted worthy to be a pleader in this matter, yet let your hope be lifted to the heavens because you plead in that name which is above every name, Jesus Christ the Righteous.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have asked with many words, and you have adorned your prayer with a garland of Scriptures, which is a good and noble thing. The Word of God is a treasure house, and you have drawn forth promises both for comfort and for intercession. Yet remember that the power of prayer rests not in the multitude of verses you can recite back to God, as though He needed reminding, but in the contrition of the heart that offers them and in the life that gives those words hands and feet through works of mercy.

You pray for the heart of a wife, that seeds planted might sprout, that kindness might lead her to repentance. This is a holy desire. But take heed that while you watch for God’s work in her, you do not neglect the field of your own soul. For you also must walk in a manner worthy of the calling, adorning the doctrine of Christ with humility, meekness, and longsuffering. You must put on, as the Apostle says, a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering, forbearing and forgiving, even as Christ forgave you. For no seed grows well in soil that is trampled down by the boots of an impatient or self-righteous husband.

You recall rightly that God’s kindness leads to repentance. But do not mistake the delay of judgment for an endorsement of sin. The same patience that tarries for her conversion also waits for yours, that you may be perfected in love. And that kindness is often shown through the very vessels of clay who plead for her. Let your own life be so fragrant with almsgiving, with sincere prayer, with contempt for worldly possessions, that she may taste and see that the Lord is good, not only in your words but in your deeds. For a good name is better than great riches, and a quiet spirit wins souls more than many arguments.

You speak of the prodigal coming to his senses, and of Hosea’s wife being hedged in until she returns. These are patterns of hope. But note well: the awakening came not solely through affliction, but through a deep and honest self-condemnation. True repentance begins when a man becomes his own accuser, declaring his sins without guile. It is not merely a sorrow for consequences, as Esau shed tears but found no place of repentance because his grief was not a hatred of the sin but a regret for losing the blessing. So you must pray not just for her circumstances to bring her back, but for that godly sorrow which works repentance unto salvation, a sorrow not to be repented of. This is a work of the Holy Spirit alone, and you wage a battle on your knees for a thing no human rhetoric can produce.

Be not anxious, therefore, as though the outcome depended on your strategems. The steps of all are in the hands of God. He who ordered Philip to the desert road and Ananias to the house of Judas can send laborers into her path that you have never met. Trust that the Word sown does not return void; it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. But it often takes root quietly, long before the shoot appears above ground. Do not dig up the seed each day to examine it. Water it with your own tears of humility and cover it with the warmth of your consistent, unfeigned love.

And look not only to her, but to your whole household. You mention patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny and posterity. Scatter your alms like seed upon the waters; make friends by the mammon of unrighteousness that when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. For almsgiving is the heart of virtue; without it no one enters the Kingdom, as the foolish virgins learned. A faith that only prays and does not give is like a fountain that stagnates. Let your riches be consumed by acts of mercy, not kept until they canker and eat at your soul.

Above all, imitate the humility of the Canaanite woman, who when she was called a dog did not bristle but accepted the word and turned it into a claim. So when you see sin in your loved one, do not be stung by pride or self-pity, but say, “Truth, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master’s table.” That posture obtains mercy. Continue then in fervent prayer, for it avails much. And give thanks in advance, not with a presumptuous claim, but with the confidence of a child who knows his Father’s heart. In all things, commit the matter to Him who perfoms great and mighty things beyond your asking or imagining, and be at peace.

What a comfort it is to know that the Word of God does not return void, and that the seeds of truth you have sown and others have watered are in the hands of the Lord of the harvest. He is faithful to bring the increase in His time. You are right to rest in that promise rather than in what you can see with your eyes.

The real battlefield is the heart. Out of it flow the issues of life, and the human heart apart from God is deceitful and desperately wicked. Yet God specializes in taking hearts of stone and turning them into hearts of flesh. He knows exactly how to humble a person so that they come to their senses, just as He did with the king in Daniel and the prodigal son in the far country. When someone is walking in stubbornness, the sorrow that comes from God works a repentance that leaves no regret. His kindness is meant to lead us there, and His patience means He is not willing that any should perish. Do not mistake a long delay for inactivity. He is working even now, and His Spirit is able to convict the heart in ways no human argument ever could.

While you wait, guard your own heart with all diligence. It is easy to let a root of bitterness, resentment, or self-righteousness creep in. You can end up communing with your own heart rather than with God, reasoning within yourself and growing weary. But true prayer lays that aside and trusts the One who searches the hearts. Let your prayers be filled with thanksgiving, as you have already done, because you are dealing with a God who rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Remember that He desires truth in the inward parts. A surface return would never satisfy Him; He wants the whole heart. And when a person truly returns, it is because God has done an internal work, circumcising the heart, giving a new heart that loves what He loves. That is the work you are asking Him to do, and it is exactly the kind of work He delights to accomplish. He is not bound by our limitations or by the failures of the past. He says, “Return, and I will heal your backslidings.”

So do not lose hope. Keep speaking the truth in love, but lean even more heavily on the Holy Spirit’s convicting work. Continue to show the kindness of God yourself, because you never know what small act of grace He might use to break through. Rejoice in the wife of your youth in your own heart, keeping your own affections pure and your mind stayed on Christ. The same God who orders the steps of the righteous will order every encounter and every circumstance for her good and for His glory. He is able to restore what the locusts have eaten and to make all things new. Be confident of this: He who began a good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ.
