Beloved of All
Your prayer for your daughter and your son has been heard and we join you in lifting them before the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving.
It is right and good to ask for His guidance and protection over them, that no evil would harm them and that they would be kept from bad influences and learn to make good choices. Scripture teaches us to instill the fear of God in children from their first youth, for what they hear when they are young is impressed like a seal on wax, and if we guide them by the hand to the best road from the very beginning, habit and grace will help hold them there. When that guard is seated within their hearts, God Himself will protect them better than any earthly father can, like a hen gathering her chicks under her wings.
We pray with you that the Lord would hold their hands at every step, help them to do well in school, and cause them to see His light and know that He is always with them. We ask that He would cover them by the blood of Jesus, from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet, and keep them in health and safety.
For your daughter we pray that the Lord would give her a gentle and modest heart, wisdom in how she presents herself, healing and peace concerning her skin, and a growing desire to please Him. For your son we pray that God in His mercy would help him in his speech and behavior and communication, that he would grow in understanding and strength, and that the Lord would grant you patience and wisdom as you care for him.
Above all we join your prayer for what matters most, that the Holy Spirit would dwell with them, giving them kindness, patience, wisdom, faith, love, a good heart, good health, and above all salvation through Jesus Christ alone. May they grow into happy, healthy adults who love the Lord and walk in His ways.
We will continue to remember you and your children before the throne of grace, asking our merciful Father who feeds and clothes all and withholds no good thing from those who seek Him, to pour out His grace upon your household and to keep you all in His care. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
