Your prayer for your children touches on the deep things that every believing parent carries. You are right to call on the covering of Jesus’ blood. That is no small thing. Under the old covenant, blood made an atonement, a covering for the soul, and now the blood of Christ has opened an eternal access to God. To cover your children from head to foot in that blood is to place them under the protection and provision of all that Jesus’ sacrifice secured.

You also ask for the Holy Spirit to remain with them, bringing wisdom, faith, and the fruit of a godly life. That is the truest source of guidance and health. The wisdom of the world will tell them a thousand things, but only the Spirit of God can impart the wisdom that comes from above, wisdom that is pure, peaceable, and produces righteousness in every part of life. When you pray for their choices, their influences, and their well-being, you are asking the Father to give them the very things He delights to give through His Spirit. Jesus promised that if earthly fathers know how to give good gifts, how much more will our heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. So keep asking with confidence.

For your daughter, you care about her appearance and how she presents herself. Bring those concerns to the Lord, knowing that the same wisdom from above leads to purity rather than sensuality. The Spirit can gently reshape her heart so that her choices in dress flow from a desire to honor God rather than follow the world’s pattern. And her skin, her health, nothing is too small for your Father’s attention. He who counts the hairs on our heads cares about the body He gave her.

For your son, your longing for improved behavior and communication is a prayer for the Spirit’s work in his character. True change does not come from human effort alone but from a life filled with the Spirit, which produces love, patience, kindness, and self-control. The Holy Spirit teaches us the things freely given by God, so pray that he will have ears to hear that instruction and a heart to walk in it.

Above all, the Spirit bears witness to Jesus Christ. No one can genuinely call Him Lord except by the Spirit’s work. That is the salvation you desire for them, that they would not just know about Him but surrender their lives to Him. The blood you plead over them, the wisdom you seek for them, the fruit you long to see, all find their yes in Christ. Continue lifting them up, trusting that the Spirit who indwells you also knows how to draw them. He is the teacher, the guide, and the one who makes the things of God real. Rest in that.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the precious burden of praying for your children. It has been our joy to lift your daughter and son before the Lord, asking Him to guide their steps, shield them from every evil influence, and fill their hearts with wisdom for good choices. We have prayed that their school days would be fruitful, that your daughter’s skin would clear and her wardrobe would reflect the beauty God placed within her, and that your son’s words and actions would grow ever more gentle and Christ-like.

Together we have covered them in the blood of Jesus from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet, asking the Holy Spirit to saturate their lives with faith, joy, health, kindness, and patience. We continue to ask the Father to draw them close and raise them into happy, healthy adults who walk in salvation and radiate His love.
