We hear your heartfelt cry for your children, and we join you in lifting them before the throne of grace. Your desire to see them walk in God’s protection, wisdom, and blessing is deeply rooted in a parent’s love, and even more so, in the Father’s love for them. Let us pray together and seek the Lord’s guidance for their lives.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and grateful hearts, knowing that every child is a gift from You (Psalm 127:3). We lift up this mother’s daughter and son to You, asking that You would cover them with Your precious blood, from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet, shielding them from every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of harm, confusion, or rebellion that would seek to draw them away from Your will. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that Your angels will encamp around them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).

Father, we ask that You would grant this mother wisdom as she guides her children. Help her to speak life into them, to correct them with love, and to model the fear of the Lord before them. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Lord, let this truth take root in their lives. For her son, we pray for improved behavior and communication, soften his heart to receive instruction and give him a desire to honor You in all he does. For her daughter, we ask that You would bring healing to her skin and confidence in her identity as Your beloved child. Guide her in modesty and self-respect, that her outward appearance would reflect the beauty You are cultivating within her (1 Peter 3:3-4).

Lord, we also bring their struggles in school before You. We ask that You would open their minds to understanding, grant them discipline to apply themselves, and surround them with godly influences. Protect them from peers or teachers who would lead them astray, and instead, connect them with mentors who will point them to Christ. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a passion to live for Your glory.

Most importantly, Father, we pray for their salvation. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we ask that You would draw them with cords of love (Hosea 11:4) and reveal Your Son to them in a powerful way. Let them know the depth of Your love and the security of being Your children. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, kindness, patience, and faith. May they grow to be men and women who love You wholeheartedly and reflect Your light to the world.

We also want to gently remind you, dear parent, that while we pray for transformation in their outward circumstances, the greatest gift you can give them is the knowledge of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that they can experience true freedom, purpose, and eternal life (John 14:6). If they do not yet know Him as their Lord and Savior, we encourage you to share the Gospel with them, how Jesus died for their sins and rose again so that they could be reconciled to God. Pray with them, read Scripture together, and trust the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts.

Lastly, we want to encourage you in your own walk with the Lord. Parenting is a sacred calling, and it can be exhausting. But remember, God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you and in your children (Philippians 1:6). Lean on Him for strength, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.

Your love for your son and daughter comes through in every line, and we are honored to stand with you in prayer. It is clear you are not handing them over to the world; you are carrying them to the Lord, and that is a steady place to stand. You do not have to manage every worry alone.

A couple of things may help carry what you have asked. For your son, consider requesting a meeting with his teacher or school counselor this week. Getting one clear picture of what is happening at school can help you and the school work together on his behavior and communication with consistency. For your daughter’s acne, a doctor or dermatologist can offer real help, so making that appointment is worth doing. Alongside that, keep talking with her about her clothing and choices in a way that invites her heart, not just her compliance.

Father, we lift up this family to You. Cover these children with Your protection every day. Give this parent wisdom, patience, and calm consistency. Help the son make steady progress in school, behavior, and communication. Give the daughter healing and confidence in her body, and guide her choices. Draw both children to know Your love, and let the Holy Spirit be with them in wisdom, kindness, and saving faith. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

This is a prayer which the Lord will not despise, for it comes from a parent's heart after their children. You have asked for the blood of Jesus to be upon them from the crown of the head to the sole of the foot. There is no safer covering and no other refuge from evil. Yet remember that the blood of Christ avails only where Christ is received by faith. Therefore let your first and daily prayer be that your son and daughter may be saved. All the rest, their conduct, their speech, their choices, their health, and their future happiness, hangs upon this one thing.

Do not be satisfied with asking that they be good and normal and happy. The world has its own idea of good and happy, and it is a lie. Pray rather that they be holy, for holiness is the only happiness that will endure. Ask the Lord to make them His own. Plead the promise, I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring. The Holy Spirit you have named is the great worker. He alone can give wisdom, kindness, patience, faith, love, and all the rest. You cannot put these into your children by watching, fretting, or praying alone. But God can.

I am glad you mentioned the Holy Spirit, for many parents ask only for outward things. Ask for the inward first. If the Spirit dwells in your daughter, her dress will become modest and her conduct pure, not merely by outward rule but by an inward spring of grace. If the Spirit dwells in your son, his communication and behaviour will be softened and made wise. The tongue is an unruly evil until grace governs it. Make this the point of your constant supplication.

For the child who does not do well in school, do not merely ask success. Ask for a teachable spirit and a right use of whatever gifts God gives. The Lord may not make him a scholar, but He can make him wise unto salvation, and that is the better portion.

As for the affliction of your daughter's skin, you may certainly bring that to the Lord. He cares for the bodies of His children. But while we ask for relief, let us not murmur if He delays. Sometimes a small burden teaches us to look upward. Yet our God is full of compassion, and it is no small thing to cast that care upon Him.

You also fear bad influences. That is a right fear. The world is full of them. But the best wall around your children is not your constant watching, though watch you must, but the converting grace of God. A child who loves Christ will flee many a snare. Bring them under the means of grace. Let them hear the word. House them in the sanctuary. Pray with them and before them. Read the Scriptures in their hearing. Let your own walk be such that they may see your faith and love, for a parent's example preaches the loudest sermon a child ever hears. Let them see your love in your discipline, in your prayers, in your daily care, and let them come to know the greater love of Christ.

Do not lose heart if the fruit is slow. The Lord often keeps us waiting that we may learn to trust Him more. Salvation is from first to last of grace. It is not by the works of the law, nor by your tears, nor by their own resolves, but by His free mercy in Christ. Look unto Him and be ye saved is the message for both your children and for you. If you have not yet found Christ yourself, come now. A praying parent is a blessed instrument, but a believing parent is a double blessing.

I will join you in prayer in this way. Father, cover these children with the blood of Jesus. Give them new hearts. Save them from sin and from the world. Let no evil harm them. Guide their choices, order their steps, heal what thou wilt, and above all make them thine own children. Give to this parent wisdom, patience, and an unwavering hope in Christ. Your desire to watch over your daughter and son is good, but we must ask for the right things in the right order. You ask God to cover them and protect them, and that is right, yet do not treat the blood of Christ as a charm or an outward wall. The true protection is the soul formed by virtue. The Apostle says to bring them up in the chastening and admonition of the Lord. Train them to be good, meek, forgiving, beneficent, humane, and to regard this present world as nothing. If we surround them only with outward defenses, when those defenses fall the plant stands naked and defenseless.

Wealth, smooth skin, fine clothing, and easy success are outward defenses. You ask that your daughter's acne clear up and that she change her manner of dress. These outward things may be mentioned, but do not make them the main prayer. Pray first that her soul be cleansed, that she learn modesty and humility, that she love Christ more than her appearance. Ask for a pure heart, not only clear skin. The body fades; the soul remains.

For your son, pray not only that his behavior and communication improve, but that his heart be turned to God. If he is not doing well in school, seek the reason, but do not value grades above godliness. A child may speak well and yet be proud, or behave well outwardly and yet hide sin. Ask the Holy Spirit to give him wisdom, kindness, patience, salvation, faith, love, and care. But do not ask as though God needed only to hear words. You must live these things before them. Children imitate what they see more than what they hear. If they do not yet know they are loved and cared for as children of the Lord, show them that love in your own discipline, affection, and example.

You fear bad influences, and rightly, but you cannot remove every bad influence. Train them within, so that when bad company comes they will not be carried away. A strong body is not the one that needs physicians and caterers for every change, but the one that can bear hunger, cold, and heat. So a strong soul is not the one fenced in from every trial, but the one taught to bear every trial without surprise.

Covering them with the blood of Jesus means more than speaking the words over their bodies. It means bringing them to the Savior, teaching them His commands, leading them to repentance and faith, and bringing them up in the chastening and admonition of the Lord. Pray, and give thanks. But join your prayer to the labor of a parent. Then they may go out not merely to be normal, happy, and healthy in the world's sense, but to be children of God, useful to the common good, and prepared for the judgment seat of Christ.

Thank you for bringing your daughter and your son before the Lord with such faithful love. Your desire to watch over them, to see them protected, guided, and kept from evil is exactly the heart God gives to a parent, and He hears this kind of prayer.

I join you in asking the Father to place His hand of protection over both of them from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet. Through the blood of Jesus shed for us, we have a covering and a redemption that no evil can overcome, and we ask Him to keep them safe as they go out and come in, to guard their minds and bodies, and to give them health and wholeness as they grow into adulthood. We ask for His wisdom, kindness, patience, faith and love to be formed in them by His Holy Spirit, and above all for their salvation, that each one would come to know Jesus Christ personally and walk with Him.

That personal faith is so important. Scripture reminds us that we do not relate to God through trying to keep a law or through our own good behavior, but through faith in His promise in Christ. We become children of promise by being adopted through Jesus, not children bound to striving. Your own relationship with the Lord, precious as it is, cannot be sufficient for them. Each child must come to trust Christ for themselves, and the greatest prayer we can pray is that Christ would be formed in them. That is a kind of travailing prayer, a deep and ongoing intercession that does not give up until we see Jesus living in their hearts and shaping their choices.

Part of that work is also our faithful part to tell them what the Lord has done. When children ask what God has done, we are to tell them how He has delivered and redeemed us, so that the truth is passed from one generation to the next. Continue to speak to your daughter and son about the Lord, about His grace and His ways, and lift your hands before Him for their lives. Pray for their daily needs as you have mentioned. For your daughter, for her health and confidence, for healing of her skin, and for wisdom in how she presents herself with modesty and dignity that honors God. For your son, for growth in behavior and communication, for help in school, and for clarity and strength to make good choices. And for both, that they would know deeply that they are loved and cared for, both by you and by their heavenly Father, and that they would be kept from bad influences that would lead them astray.

The Lord knows the pressures that surround children today, and how much they need His guidance. Ask Him to give you continued wisdom as you guide them, and to give them discerning hearts to choose friends and paths that lead toward Him. May He grant them to be normal, happy, healthy children who grow into faithful adults, kept by His grace, led by His Spirit, and rooted in His love.

Father, we bring this daughter and this son before You in the name of Jesus. Cover them, keep them, draw each one to Yourself, and form Christ in them. Give them protection from evil, wisdom for daily decisions, help in school and in growth, and a sure knowledge of Your love and care. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and make them Yours, now and for all the years to come. Amen.
