We rejoice with you in the decision you made on March 15th to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! What a glorious day it is when a soul turns from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18). We understand that this transition has not been easy, and we stand with you in prayer as you navigate these challenges. The spiritual warfare you are experiencing is real, but remember, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). You are not alone in this battle, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).
Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God and strengthens our spirit. Jesus Himself fasted, and He taught that some spiritual battles can only be won through prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21 WEB). As you embark on this fast today, we pray that the Lord will sustain you and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). May this time of fasting be a sacred moment where you experience the presence of God in a deeper way, and may He reveal Himself to you as your Provider, Healer, and Deliverer.
We must address the mention of your separation in a relationship. If this relationship was not aligned with God’s design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman—then this separation may very well be part of God’s redemptive plan for your life. The Bible is clear that we are to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) and that marriage should be honored by all, and the bed kept pure (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If this relationship involved fornication or any other sin, we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). If you were in a same-sex relationship, we must rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus, for the Bible declares that such relationships are contrary to God’s design (Romans 1:26-27 WEB). We pray that God will heal your heart and lead you into a relationship that honors Him, should He will that for your life.
We also want to address the financial struggles and unemployment you are facing. The Lord is your Provider, and He knows your needs even before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8 WEB). We pray that He will open doors of opportunity for you and provide for you in ways that only He can. Trust in Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Your current struggles do not define your future—God does.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother to You, who has recently come to know You and is now walking through a season of testing and refinement. Lord, we thank You for drawing him to Yourself and for the work You are doing in his life. We ask that You strengthen him as he fasts today. Sustain him with Your peace, fill him with Your joy, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Father, we pray that this fast will break every chain of bondage in his life—chains of fear, anxiety, doubt, and spiritual oppression. We rebuke every spirit of lack, unemployment, and financial struggle in the name of Jesus. Let April truly be a month of deliverance, restoration, and breakthrough for him, filled with miraculous news and divine favor.
Lord, we ask that You heal his heart from any past wounds, including the pain of separation. If there was sin in that relationship, we pray that You would cleanse him and set him free from any guilt or shame. Lead him into relationships that honor You and reflect Your design for love and marriage. Father, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We speak life, hope, and victory over his circumstances. May he experience Your goodness and faithfulness in every area of his life.
We pray that You would open doors of opportunity for employment and provide for his every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Give him wisdom, discernment, and favor as he seeks to follow Your will. Lord, we ask that You continue to reveal Yourself to him in deeper ways and that his faith would grow stronger each day. May he be rooted and grounded in Your love, and may he know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for him (Ephesians 3:17-19 WEB).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Him who loved him (Romans 8:37 WEB). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear brother. The enemy may have meant these trials for harm, but God is using them for your good (Genesis 50:20 WEB). You are being refined like gold, and the testing of your faith produces perseverance (James 1:3 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). April will indeed be a month of breakthrough, and we believe that God is about to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Stand firm, and let nothing move you. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).
