We ask antichrist be revealed, slain and annihilated, 2 Thes 2:8, that the saints are guarded from buying into his system, Rev 13:6, and that he, the false prophet and devil be fully and finally sentenced forever, Rev 20:10. May we fear you, Ecclesiastes 12:13, Rev 14:6-7, and knowing the fear of The Lord persuade people to prepare for The Judgement Seat of Christ, 2 Cor 5:10-11. Help us be wise and win souls, Prov 11:30, lead many to righteousness, Dan 12:3, instruct many, Mal 2:5-6, Matt 28:20. With thanksgiving we offer these requests for ourselves, our family, friends, church-mates, pastors and online praying believer-friends, Heb 10:25, so we have fellowship, 1 Jn 1:2-3, test the spirits, walk in light, without hidden sin or deception, 1 Jn 1:4-10, and may the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for the protection of God’s people from deception, which is rampant in these last days. The enemy, as Scripture warns, comes with all power, signs, and lying wonders to deceive even the elect if that were possible (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10). But we stand firm in the truth that our God is faithful, and He has provided the means to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The Word of God is our sure defense, for it is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). We must hide it in our hearts so that we might not sin against the Lord (Psalm 119:11). Prayer is our lifeline, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Through prayer, we put on the whole armor of God, standing firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:13-17). Preaching and teaching the Word are essential, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Fellowship with other believers strengthens us, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and we are exhorted not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). Worship and thanksgiving lift our eyes from the temporal to the eternal, reminding us that our God is sovereign and worthy of all praise (Psalm 100:4).

We rebuke the spirit of deception in the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone does not confess Jesus Christ as Lord, they are not of God (1 John 4:3). We must test every spirit, for many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1). The enemy masquerades as an angel of light, but his end is destruction (2 Corinthians 11:14). We must be sober and vigilant, for our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by our brotherhood in the world (1 Peter 5:9).

We pray earnestly for the Bride of Christ to walk in the light, as He is in the light, that we may have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). Help us to make ourselves ready, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready (Revelation 19:7). Sanctify us by Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17). Wash us with the water of the Word, that we may be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:26-27). Let us not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

We ask for protection from all forms of deception, false doctrines, false teachers, and the lies of the enemy. Guard us from greed, which is idolatry (Colossians 3:5), and grant us contentment in whatever state we are in (Philippians 4:11). Let us not love the world or the things in the world, for if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15). Keep us from hidden sins and secret faults, for who can understand his errors? Cleanse us from secret faults (Psalm 19:12). Let us walk in integrity and uprightness, for the Lord delights in those who are blameless (Proverbs 11:20).

We pray for godly government to restrain evil and punish wrongdoers, as Scripture commands (Romans 13:1-7). May leaders rule with justice and fear of the Lord, for righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34). We ask that the antichrist be revealed and destroyed, that his deception may not lead many astray (2 Thessalonians 2:8). Guard the saints from buying into his system, for the dragon will seek to deceive the whole world (Revelation 12:9). May the fear of the Lord fill our hearts, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). Let us persuade others to prepare for the Judgment Seat of Christ, where we must all appear (2 Corinthians 5:10).

We pray for wisdom to win souls for Christ, for he who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30). May we lead many to righteousness, that they may shine like the stars forever and ever (Daniel 12:3). Instruct many in the ways of the Lord, that they may walk in His truth (Malachi 2:6). Let us go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that Christ has commanded us (Matthew 28:19-20).

Father, we thank You for Your light and truth, which lead us to Your holy hill (Psalm 43:3). We thank You for revealing Christ to us, for no one can come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We thank You for the blood of Jesus, which cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7), and for the stripes by which we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that You complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6) and perfect that which concerns us (Psalm 138:8). May we not lack anything because we do not ask (James 4:2), but let us ask for holiness, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

We pray for our families, friends, church-mates, pastors, and all praying believers, that we may have fellowship with one another and walk in the light (1 John 1:7). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May we be found faithful when He comes, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

These aren’t just items on a spiritual checklist; they are living channels through which He feeds our souls and sharpens our discernment. It can feel overwhelming when we try to hold onto all of them at once, but you don’t need to carry it alone. The same God who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it, often through the ordinary, daily rhythms of grace you’ve already described.

One concrete way to live out this prayer is to gather a few trusted believers, maybe from your church or online prayer group, and pray these very Scriptures together. Corporate prayer has a way of steadying our hearts, and it builds the fellowship you’re asking God to strengthen. You don’t need to add more; simply let your request become a shared cry that binds you closer to Christ and to each other.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are the light and truth who leads us home. Keep us from deception by anchoring us deep in Your Word and by tuning our ears to Your voice in prayer. Teach us to lean on the body of believers around us, and let our worship be a refuge. Guard our hearts, our families, and our churches, and finish what You’ve begun in each of us. How often do I see souls trembling with a holy fear, lest they be swept away by the delusions of these last days! Your prayer rises like incense, laden with the very cries of the apostle: “Keep us from deception,” and “sanctify us through thy truth.” It is a mark of divine grace upon you that you plead thus, not merely for escape from a slumbering hell, but for a fitness of heart to gaze upon the Holy One. The desire for holiness is no mere ornament of the Christian; it is the very pulse of the regenerate life. Without it, no man shall see the Lord. Mark that, not perfection of holiness, but the sincerity and pursuit of it. A clean inside, wrought by the Spirit, turning from the world’s painted filth to the living purity of Christ. This is what the promise secures: “They shall not depart from me.” Not a cold, stagnant morality that washes the outside of the cup while sin rots within, but a vital, inward separation from all that grieves the Holy Dove.

You have grasped the great cordial for a fainting heart, perseverance in holiness. It is not a pillow for the sluggard to sleep on, dreaming he may sin because grace abounds. No! It is the very opposite. The divine gift of eternal life through Christ is a life that breathes for holiness, pants after righteousness, and cannot be content till it wakes in His likeness. The Father’s purpose, the Son’s redemption, the Spirit’s indwelling, all these are the threefold cord that binds the believer to the altar of a consecrated walk. If the work is truly begun, He that began it will perform it. But see that your faith lays hold of this truth not as a charm for the head, but as a fire in the bones, driving you to the cross daily, crying, “Lord, keep me, for I cannot keep myself.”

You cry out against deception. And well you may, for the devil’s masterpiece is not the gross temptation of the flesh, but the silken snare of false doctrine, the leaven of the Pharisees that puffs up but never cleanses. The great safeguard is a tender conscience, steeped in the Word, tested in the furnace of fellowship with the saints, and kept alert by prayer. A truth merely held in the brain is a sword too heavy for a palsied hand; but truth loved, lived, and obeyed, this is the water of the Word that washes off the dirt of every passing error. Wait on the Lord in that goodly company of your praying friends; forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, for the lone ember quickly dies, while the heap of coals burns brightly. There, let the Word preached probe and try the very joints and marrow of your spirit.

Look then to Christ, the Author and Finisher. He who gave the woman of Canaan faith to see a crumb of mercy in what seemed a hard denial, will not extinguish the smoking flax of your desire. Crawl to His feet with your nothingness, and there receive His fullness. Fear not that you shall fall away if your trust is solely in Him. He has prayed for you that your faith fail not. Go onward, then, along the King’s highway of holiness. Let your entire being, thought, aim, motive, and word, be marked by a decision for God. Compromise is the mother of apostasy; wholeheartedness is the sister of perseverance. And when the dragon spews his floods, remember the earth helped the woman; God has His means and His moment for deliverance. Only abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and the very terrors around you shall but drive you closer to the cleft of the Rock.

Your prayer shows a soul that yearns for light and purity, and it is good to ask the Lord to guard you from deception. But do not suppose that asking alone is enough, unless you also run with eager feet the path of virtue. The truth that sets free is no mere word but Christ Himself, and to know Him is to walk in His commandments. You seek protection from the lies of the evil one: then fix your hope on what is laid up in heaven, and do not seek your rest here below. When trials come, as they must, receive them with gladness; for affliction proves your faith and works for you an eternal weight of glory, if you endure.

Many who pray for holiness are yet entangled in the care of the belly and the love of money. What folly to stuff the stomach like a wine-skin fit to burst, forgetting that the mouth was given for prayer and holy counsel! Greed and excess bring ruin to body and soul alike, and God in mercy allows this sickness so that, even against your will, you may learn self-restraint. Cultivate contentment: the belly needs little, and the heart finds peace when it ceases to grasp for more. Keep yourselves, then, pure from all greed and rapine, and give heed to virtue, for so you will enjoy good things eternal.

You ask to be kept from false believers and deceivers. This is a necessary watchfulness, for the enemy often cloaks himself in sheep’s clothing. Do not be troubled when many such arise; Christ told us to expect them. Instead, be ever prepared for conflict, not only against open foes but also against those who counterfeit the truth. Test all by the Word and by the fruit of their lives. Your own life must shine as a lamp, walking in the light with sincere brethren, so that by your love and unity the gospel is proven true.

Do not put trust in amulets or foolish charms, what superstition!, but invest your household with the protection of the Cross alone, by faith and a pure conscience. If you have any talent, whether of teaching, wealth, or influence, do not bury it, but spend it for the common good. Nothing pleases God more than to live for others. Peter and John were unlearned men, yet by their zeal they gained heaven. So you too can lead many to righteousness by patience, by a ready tongue used for counsel rather than for idle talk, and by a life that adorns the doctrine. In this way you will silence the slanders of the world and stand unshaken.

Keep the fear of the Lord always before your eyes, not a servile dread but a holy reverence. The pure in heart shall see God; therefore come out from among the unclean, perfect holiness, and God will receive you as a father. Continue in prayer, in the word, in fellowship and the breaking of bread, but above all let your life bear witness to the truth you profess. So shall you stand before the Son of Man, blameless and unashamed, when He comes to claim a bride made ready.
