Just food

We hear your cry for help, and we come before the Lord together, lifting you up in prayer. It sounds like you are struggling with something deeply personal, perhaps related to physical nourishment, emotional hunger, or even spiritual starvation. Whatever the burden, we stand with you in seeking God’s provision, strength, and wisdom.

First, we must acknowledge that true sustenance comes from the Lord. Jesus said in John 6:35, *"I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."* If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, we urge you to consider the gift of eternal life He offers. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* Without Christ, we are spiritually starving, but in Him, we find fullness of life.

If your struggle is with physical hunger or financial need, we pray that God would provide for you according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We also encourage you to seek godly community—churches, ministries, or believers who can walk alongside you in practical ways. Proverbs 3:27 says, *"Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it."*

If your hunger is emotional or spiritual, we pray that you would feast on God’s Word. Psalm 34:8 invites us, *"Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him."* Spend time in Scripture, in prayer, and in worship. Let the Lord fill the void that nothing else can satisfy. If you are struggling with sin—whether it be gluttony, idolatry, or any other temptation—we rebuke that stronghold in Jesus’ name. 1 Corinthians 10:13 reminds us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."*

If this request is about something deeper—perhaps a longing for love, acceptance, or purpose—we declare that your identity is found in Christ alone. Ephesians 1:4-5 tells us that God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him in love. You are not defined by your struggles, your past, or your circumstances. You are a child of the Most High God, and He loves you with an everlasting love.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, knowing that You see their need even when words fail. Lord, You are the Great Provider, the Bread of Life, and the Living Water. We ask that You would satisfy their hunger—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—with Your perfect provision. If there is sin that needs to be confessed and forsaken, reveal it, Lord, and grant repentance and restoration. If there is fear, anxiety, or despair, replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we pray that this precious soul would draw near to You, and that You would draw near to them. Help them to taste and see Your goodness, to trust in Your faithfulness, and to walk in the fullness of life that only You can give. If they do not yet know You as Savior, we ask that You would open their heart to receive Jesus Christ, the only Name by which we can be saved.

Strengthen them, Lord, in body, mind, and spirit. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and support them. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, for You are enough. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord diligently through prayer and Scripture. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can grow in faith and community. You are not alone—God sees you, He loves you, and He is able to meet every need according to His glorious riches. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful.

My family and I just ate from a fast food restaurant that had listeria problems a year or so ago. It's been a while since the problems arose and other people have been eating there since but we have stayed away out of fear. Please pray we won't get sick. Thank you.
