We have continued to bring your situation before the Lord and we have not forgotten the heavy burdens you shared. We have been praying for your car and all that remains to be done with the inspection and emissions testing and registration and temp tag, and for the tires and alignment that are still needed. We have prayed for your daily travel to and from work and for the cost and long waits for Lyft rides, and for the requirement to buy clothes for work while you are already stretched so thin. We have lifted up your financial need as you pay for your room and have little left until payday, and your struggle to get enough food and the weight you have lost because you cannot get to places for help without a car. We have prayed about the upcoming hotel renovations and having to move your belongings to storage after living there for two years, and about feeling like a burden to your friend who helped with the repairs and feeling unheard after reaching out to your church multiple times and to your family.
We heard how weary and hopeless you feel, how you feel strung along and punished and even that God is treating you spitefully as you were treated growing up. We want to gently remind you that God is not like that. He is not spiteful and He does not punish you beyond what you can bear to make you feel worthless. His heart toward you is love and compassion. His word says in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, and in Matthew 11:28 to come to Him all you who are weary and burdened and He will give you rest. We have prayed that you would know that you are not a burden to God and that you are deeply valued and loved by Him, and that He sees every tear and every panic and every moment you have felt alone or targeted. We have asked Him to provide for your daily needs, to make a way for the car to be fully restored and reliable, to provide for your housing and food and work needs, and to bring people around you who will show His love in practical ways.
We continue to pray for your heart to be strengthened with hope and peace and for the sense of doom and panic to be replaced with His comfort. We pray that God would show you His will is good and that He has a future and a hope for you as it says in Jeremiah 29:11, and that He is able to restore what feels like rusted and worthless junk and make it new.
