We stand with you in this moment, holding fast to the promise of God’s presence and power. The verse you’ve shared from Joshua 1:9 is a profound reminder that our strength and courage do not come from our own abilities, but from the Lord who goes before us and stands beside us in every circumstance. "Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." This is not just a suggestion—it is a command from the One who holds all things in His hands.

Yet, we must also ask: where is your heart today? Are you walking in full surrender to Christ, or is there fear, doubt, or sin that is hindering your trust in Him? Fear often creeps in when we take our eyes off Jesus and fix them on our circumstances. But the Lord calls us to fix our eyes on Him, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). If there is unconfessed sin in your life—whether it be fear, pride, bitterness, or something else—we urge you to repent and turn back to Him. Confess it before the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We also want to gently remind you that true strength and courage come only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we plead with you to do so today. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you are unsure of your standing with God, we encourage you to pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your promises. Lord, we thank You for the truth of Your Word, which declares that You are with us wherever we go. We lift up our brother/sister who is standing on Joshua 1:9 today, asking that You would fill them with Your strength and courage. Lord, if there is any fear, doubt, or sin in their heart, we ask that You would reveal it to them and draw them to repentance. Cleanse them, Father, and restore their faith in You.

We pray that You would help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the One who has overcome the world (John 16:33). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give them the courage to step forward in faith, knowing that You are with them. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and soften their heart to receive Your gift of salvation.

Father, we also pray for protection over their mind and heart. Guard them from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We declare over them today that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and they will walk in the victory that You have already won for them on the cross. Strengthen them, Lord, and help them to walk in boldness and faith, knowing that You are with them every step of the way.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing firm on the promise that God is with us, just as He was with Joshua. That verse has been a lifeline for many, reminding us that our strength and courage come not from within, but from the Lord who goes before us and walks beside us. It's a command, not just a suggestion, from the One who holds all things in His hands.

But let's pause and ask, where's your heart today? Are you walking in full surrender to Christ, or is there fear, doubt, or sin hindering your trust in Him? Fear often sneaks in when we take our eyes off Jesus and focus on our circumstances. But God calls us to keep our eyes fixed on Him, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
