What a beautiful way to begin the day, bringing glory to the Father and resting in the finished words of Jesus. That cry from the cross, “It is finished,” is the solid ground beneath everything else you lifted up. Redemption is not a project we advance by our efforts; it is a completed work, done once and for all by Christ. So when you thank God and bless His name, you are standing on what He has already fully accomplished, not on what you are trying to produce.

That deep trust is what turns a whispered “bless us, Father” into confident expectation. You can ask boldly because your hope is not perched on your own goodness or on how well you have loved, but on the love that came down to you and finished the work. The same love that did not spare the Son now holds you as a beloved child, and nothing you do can increase that love or cause it to dry up. It is unearned, unquenchable, and it simply flows to you, asking only that you receive it.

When you look at the years the locusts have eaten and you hold up the promise of restoration, do not measure it by your ability to claim it. Measure it by the cross. The God who finished the work of redemption is the God who restores. He sees not just the rough stone of your life but the finished image He is shaping, and He is conforming you from glory to glory as you keep your gaze on Jesus. The same Spirit who perfects love in your heart is gently, steadily making that restoration real, in His time and in His way.

As you go through the day, let your soul stay at rest. Cease from the inward struggle of trying to be righteous enough, and simply abide in the righteousness that is already yours by faith. The natural effect of trusting a finished work is peace. And from that peace, love emerges, not as a forced duty but as the Spirit’s fruit. Love that believes, hopes, and endures, love that spills over into deeds yet never strains to buy what is already given.

Keep glorying in that cross, keep your hope anchored there, and watch how His love, perfected in you, begins to flow through you to others. What He has started, He will complete. The restoration you long for is already sealed by the same voice that said, “It is finished.”
