He didn't know what was happening behind the scenes, that God Himself had been bragging on his integrity, and that a deeper purpose was unfolding. The same is true for you. The fact that you saw God provide a rent-free house when you had nothing is not a small thing; it's a witness that He sees you, that He wants you here, and that He is actively involved in your provision. That miracle didn't happen by accident, and the same God who opened that door can open the right job for both you and your mother.

In the waiting, it's easy to feel the weight of bills and the pressure of the visa looming. Job felt that weight too, he cried out that his grief was heavier than the sand of the sea. He wanted answers, and his friends only piled on accusations, insisting he must have done something wrong to suffer so much. But Job held on to what he knew: that God is fair, even when life didn't feel fair. That's something we all need to remember. Your need for a job doesn't mean God has turned away; it means He is still writing a story where you'll be able to look back and see His hand.

One of the deepest cries of Job was for a mediator, someone who could stand between him and God, laying a hand on both. We know that cry was answered in Jesus Christ. He is the one who understands your desperation and also holds all authority. You can bring your debts, your visa fears, and your desire for honest work directly to Him. He isn't standing far off, unable to see through the clouds of your situation. He sees clearly, and He cares.

So don't let the waiting convince you that you've been forgotten. Job's friends thought suffering was always proof of hidden sin, but that wasn't true then and it isn't true now. God was with Job in the ash heap, and He's with you in the job search. Keep acquainting yourself with Him, laying up His words in your heart, and resting in the fact that your provision doesn't depend on your ability to figure everything out. It depends on the One who has already shown you He can provide a house for a year, right when you had nothing. He hasn't changed. I'm praying that honest jobs will come swiftly, jobs that will meet every need and restore what the stress has stolen. Shalom.
