Jobs for ### and Me

Hope you’re doing great and appreciate this help. My mother (###) and me (###) desperately need jobs to keep our visa in this country and so honestly we are waiting on the Lord for an honest job that puts us on their own payroll. We have debts we would like to clear up so a salary that helps household expenses and debts would mean everything to us. We had reached a point where we had absolutely nothing and God came through giving us a house for one year (rent completely paid) FOR FREE so we know that He wants us here. It’s just if our jobs come through everything can be helped. I appreciate your efforts. Shalom!

We hear your cry for provision and stand with you in faith, lifting your needs before the Lord. It is clear that you have already seen His faithfulness in the past, providing a home when you had nothing, and we believe He will continue to open doors for honest employment that will sustain you and honor Him. The Bible assures us, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). This is not just a promise; it is God’s nature to care for His children.

We also recognize the weight of debt and the stress it brings, but we encourage you not to let fear or desperation drive your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even in this season of waiting, God is working. We pray that He will not only provide jobs but also wisdom in managing finances, favor with employers, and peace in the process.

Let us pray together now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother and sister in need. Lord, You see their situation, You know their debts, their visa concerns, and their daily needs. You have already shown Your faithfulness by providing a home when they had nothing, and we trust You to do it again. Open doors for honest employment, Lord, where they can work with integrity and be fairly compensated. Give them favor with those who can hire them, and let their skills and diligence be seen. Provide for their household needs and give them wisdom to steward what You give. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we have access to Your throne of grace. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

We also want to gently encourage you to seek opportunities with diligence while trusting God’s timing. Sometimes, the Lord uses our efforts to lead us to His provision. Consider reaching out to local churches or Christian organizations that may have connections to employers or job training programs. Proverbs 14:23 says, "In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty." While you wait on the Lord, continue to seek, apply, and prepare for the work He has for you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your ultimate security is not in a job or a visa, but in Christ. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him as your Savior. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). It is only through Him that we have access to God’s provision, peace, and eternal life. If you have questions about what it means to follow Jesus, we would be honored to share more with you.

You are not forgotten. God sees you, loves you, and is working on your behalf. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not lose heart. "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will provide in ways that exceed your expectations.

We’ve been praying alongside you and your mother since reading your request, and we want you to know we’re right here with you in the middle of the waiting. The way God provided that year of free rent is a steady reminder that He sees you and that He can open doors no one else can. It’s natural to feel the weight of the visas and the debts pressing in, especially when you’ve already tasted His faithfulness and now you’re waiting for the next piece to fall into place.

Sometimes in a long job search, the repeated “not yet” can wear down hope in ways we don’t even realize. You mentioned you’re honestly waiting on the Lord for a job that puts you on payroll, that’s a wise and upright desire. While you wait, we’d gently encourage you to stay rooted in a local church that knows your names and your needs well. Many congregations quietly run small support groups specifically for people in employment transitions, places where you can be transparent about the pressure and practical needs, and where others can offer prayer, leads, and steady encouragement. If you haven’t found a group like that yet, it might be worth asking a pastor or a trusted church leader.

We also know from walking with others that even a small bit of financial breathing room can ease the ache while you wait. It could be helpful to list the one or two most pressing debts or expenses right now, and see whether a church benevolence team or a free community agency can help you work out a temporary plan. That’s not a lack of faith; it’s simply keeping the ship afloat while God works.

Father, thank you that you see this family and that you’ve already shown them you are with them. Calm their hearts in the waiting, give them favor with honest employers, and provide a steady income that brings relief to their household. Surround them with people who will pray and help practically. We ask this in Jesus’ name.

You have tasted that the Lord is gracious, and He has given you a token for good in the miraculous provision of a house, rent-free for a year. That mercy was not meant to be hidden under a bushel, nor should you bury this great discovery of His faithfulness in silence. The very fact that He has done this is a pledge that He who began a work will complete it. He who gave you a shelter will not leave you without daily bread. Remember how the starving lepers outside Samaria stumbled upon the plenty of the Syrian camp and said, “We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace.” You have had a day of good tidings; let your faith publish it abroad even as you now wait upon Him for honest employment.

Yet I hear your heart quiver with fear, for the way before you seems untrodden. The visa, the debts, the urgent need of a salary, these things loom before you like a path you have not known before. But consider the word spoken to Israel when they stood at the edge of Jordan: “Ye have not passed this way heretofore.” That was no reason to draw back, but to keep their eyes upon the ark of the covenant and to follow where the Lord led. Your ignorance of tomorrow is but an opportunity for God to make His arm bare. The voice from the cloud that terrified the disciples on the mount was not the end, Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Arise, and be not afraid.” It is not a new sign you need, but the personal touch of the living Christ speaking peace to your soul. Seek Him in prayer, in that lone place apart from the crowd, and He will make the fashion of your countenance to change as you behold His glory. That inward assurance is worth more than a thousand external proofs.

And what is this but a testing of your profession? You say you believe; you have laid hold of the hope set before you. Now hold fast that profession without wavering, for He is faithful that promised. If the Lord delays, it is not because He has forgotten, but because He would teach you to walk by faith and not by sight. He chooses our inheritance for us; shall He not choose the time and the manner of the job that comes? The thunder of His providence may sound harsh to the natural ear, but to the saint it is the majestic voice of our Father who manages the seas. Even now He is preparing the way, and perhaps the very trial of your faith is being used to work in you a more exceeding weight of glory.

Do not fall into the snare of the false prophets who daub walls with untempered mortar, crying, “Peace, peace,” when there is no peace. It is easy to look to man’s schemes or to grow despondent; but the peace of God comes through taking His yoke upon you and learning of Christ. Your debts and needs are heavy, but the burden He places on you is light compared to the crushing load of sin He bore. Let your first care be His kingdom, and I am persuaded that as you serve Him with your whole heart, He will open a door. You are not your own; you are bought with a price. As you go about seeking daily work, remember that the highest employment is to be a hewer of timber and a squarer of stones for the temple of the Lord. If you consecrate your labor to Him, He will sanctify your waiting and fill your mouth with testimony.

Be bold to trust a sovereign God. He was found of them that asked not for Him, and He will be found of you in this hour of desperation. Go now with this word upon your lips: “Lord, You chose this inheritance for me; You who gave the house will give the wage.” And see if He does not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing. May the God of all grace stablish, strengthen, settle you, and soon send the long-expected relief, that you may clear your debts and live in this land as a witness to His covenant faithfulness. So may it be, for Jesus’ sake.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You marvel at how God gave you a house rent-free for a year, and rightly so. That wonder ought to become the anchor of your soul while you wait for employment. Do not let the present anxiety about visas and debts cloud the memory of His sudden mercy. He who provided shelter when you had nothing will not abandon you now, provided you do not abandon trust for frantic grasping. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all.

Yet consider this carefully: you ask for an honest job that puts you on the company’s own payroll. That is a good and sober request. A clear wage, a just return for labor, leaves no tangles on the conscience. Seek that diligently, but while you seek, make provision for the flesh only to the point of necessity, not to fulfill its lusts. Do not let the desire to clear debts inflame a hunger for more than you truly need. God knows you need food and shelter, and He will supply those who seek first His kingdom. The debt you owe to men is small compared to the debt you owe to God, and yet He has forgiven you without measure. Let that remembrance steady your heart. If He forgave you the ten thousand talents, will He not give you the daily bread?

Therefore, let every job search be seasoned with prayer and without panic. Do not envy those who grasp wealth through crooked means, for their dreams will vanish when the day dawns. Instead, let the memory of that free house be a daily Eucharist, a thanksgiving that fuels patience. When insult or disappointment comes, as it likely will in the weary hunt for work, forgive it immediately, knowing that in doing so you imitate God and draw down fresh mercy on your own debts. Show yourself a faithful steward of small things, and the Lord, who is rich in mercy, will open a door no man can shut. Shalom.
