We hear your cry for help in this season of struggle, both in your work training and in the heavy weights of depression and anxiety you carry. Let us first lift these burdens to the Lord, for He invites us in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is facing a challenging training at work. Lord, we ask that You grant them wisdom, understanding, and retention of all that they need to learn. Strengthen their mind and body to endure this season, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or discouragement that may be hindering their progress, and we declare that they will pass this training with excellence, for You are their strength and portion forever (Psalm 73:26).
Lord, we also bring before You the battles with depression and anxiety that they face. We know that these are not Your will for them, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You break every chain of darkness that seeks to oppress them, and that You fill them with Your joy, peace, and hope. Remind them daily that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We encourage you to draw near to God in this time, for He promises in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Spend time in His Word, allowing it to be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and pray for you, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, it is okay to seek professional help—God can use doctors, counselors, and medicine as tools to bring healing and restoration.
Lord, we also want to gently remind this dear one that true peace and victory come only through a personal relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Him, we pray that they would do so today. For it is written in Romans 10:9, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
We declare that this season of struggle will not define you, but rather refine you. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37), and we believe that God will turn this trial into a testimony. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful, and He will complete the good work that He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and believe for breakthrough, healing, and victory. Amen.
