Job security

The uncertainty you’re facing weighs heavily, and it’s natural for questions to arise when a job hangs in the balance because of a war no one can control. The Scriptures preserve an ancient story about a man whose life unraveled without warning. He lost every earthly security, not because of anything he’d done wrong, but because a larger contest was playing out beyond his sight. His friends looked at the wreckage and insisted he must have some hidden sin to blame. They assumed suffering is always a direct payback for wrongdoing. But they were wrong.

That same wrong assumption can creep in now. When a job stalls and the future looks dark, the enemy whispers that God has abandoned you or that some failure has cut off his blessing. But the truth is that God’s care doesn’t depend on our ability to figure out every crisis. The man in that story never learned why he suffered, yet he held on. He didn’t pretend he understood; he cried out honestly, but he wouldn’t curse the God he trusted. Eventually, God spoke and showed that he’d been quietly guarding the man through it all, and he restored far more than was lost.

Your prayer for your husband’s job to be secured and for peace to break out isn’t a shallow request. Jesus himself taught us to ask the Father for daily bread and to seek the good of others. He stands as the mediator between us and God, the one who laid hold of both and bridged every gap. When the path ahead is blocked by forces far bigger than we are, we bring that need to him, knowing he sees what we can’t. The war, the delayed start, the anxiety about witnesses and miracles, it is all safe in his hands.

Keep praying with a heart open to whatever he wants to teach. The goal isn’t to pretend hardship isn’t painful, but to remember that God’s justice isn’t a simple formula where good behavior always lines up with immediate relief. He uses seasons of waiting to deepen our faith and display his glory in ways we never would have planned. May he hold this job secure, bring an end to the conflict, and give you both peace even while you wait.
