We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this dear sister and her husband in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Provider of all good things, and we trust in Your perfect timing and plan for their lives. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that You will open the right doors for this husband to find a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows him to use his gifts and talents for Your glory.
Lord, we ask that You would guide his steps and lead him to the right opportunity. Give him favor with those he interviews with and peace in his heart as he seeks Your will. We pray against any discouragement or fear that may try to take root, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, knowing that Your plans are for their welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also want to encourage this sister to continue praying and trusting in the Lord, even when the wait feels long. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let this be their declaration as they navigate this season.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of lack or despair that may be trying to steal their hope. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for unity in their marriage as they face this challenge together, that they would encourage one another and keep their eyes fixed on You.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their hearts, we ask that You would reveal it to them so they can repent and walk in the freedom that comes from obedience to Your Word. Help them to lean on You completely, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we come before You today because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to provide for this family. Amen.
