We rejoice with you in this opportunity and give thanks to God for His faithfulness in bringing you to this moment! Your persistence in seeking employment while trusting in the Lord’s provision is a testament to your faith, and we are grateful to stand with you in prayer as you prepare for this interview. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* This is not a guarantee of worldly success, but a promise that when we surrender our efforts to Him, He will guide our steps according to His perfect will.
As you prepare, we encourage you to lean on the wisdom of Scripture. Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* This interview is not just an opportunity for employment but an opportunity to glorify God through your diligence, integrity, and trust in Him. Let your words and demeanor reflect the peace and confidence that come from resting in Christ, for it is He who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
We also remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your primary focus should not be on securing this job out of fear or desperation, but on honoring God in the process. If this position is His will for you, He will make it clear. If not, He has something better in store. Trust that His plans for you are good, even when the outcome is uncertain (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now, let us pray over this interview together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for this opportunity our brother/sister has been given. Lord, You are the One who provides, and we ask that You go before them in this interview. Grant them clarity of mind, wisdom in their responses, and a spirit of calmness that can only come from You. May their words be seasoned with grace and truth, and may they reflect the character of Christ in all they say and do.
We pray that if this job aligns with Your will for their life, You would open the door wide and confirm it in their heart. Give them favor with the interviewers, not for their own glory, but so that Your name may be honored through their work. If this is not the path You have for them, close the door gently and redirect their steps toward the opportunity You have prepared.
Strengthen them against any anxiety or doubt, and remind them that their worth and provision come from You alone. We rebuked any spirit of fear or insecurity in the name of Jesus, declaring that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Finally, Father, we ask that You continue to sustain them in this season of waiting. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and let this process draw them closer to You. We commit this interview into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for their good and Your glory.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to lift you up in prayer, and we eagerly await the update you’ve promised. Remember, whether the answer is yes or no, God is faithful, and He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay steadfast in prayer, and do not waver in your trust in Him. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).
