We rejoice with you in your granddaughter’s accomplishment, earning a degree is no small feat, and we give thanks to the Lord for guiding her through her studies. The waiting season after graduation can feel long and uncertain, but we know that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for her are good. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We stand on this promise as we lift her up in prayer.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine favor and provision over . You have equipped her with knowledge, skills, and a heart to serve in her field, and we trust that You will open the right door at the right time. Lord, we ask that You would calm any anxiety or doubt in her heart, replacing it with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Give her patience and perseverance as she waits, and let her trust in You grow stronger each day. We pray for wisdom for those who will interview her, that they would see her value and the gifts You have placed in her. May this season of waiting draw her closer to You, deepening her dependence on Your guidance. We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or fear and declare that her steps are ordered by You (Psalm 37:23). Prepare her for the opportunity You have for her, and let her walk into it with confidence, knowing that You go before her. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
We encourage your granddaughter to continue seeking the Lord in this season, not just for the job itself, but for His will to be done in her life. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." This is a time to draw near to God, to seek His wisdom through prayer and Scripture, and to remain faithful in the small things while waiting for the big things. She might also consider reaching out to mentors, professors, or professionals in her field for guidance or networking opportunities, sometimes doors open through relationships as much as through applications.
If she hasn’t already, she could also spend time reflecting on how God has uniquely shaped her for this work. What passions or experiences has He used to prepare her? Sometimes, the waiting season is an opportunity to clarify her calling and to grow in confidence in who God has made her to be. We also encourage her to stay active in serving, whether through volunteering, church, or other avenues, because God often uses our faithfulness in small things to lead us into greater opportunities.
Lastly, we want to remind her (and all of us) that our ultimate security is not in a job, a degree, or even our own efforts, but in Christ alone. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God and the hope of eternal life. If she has not yet placed her trust in Him, we urge her to consider the words of John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the foundation for every other blessing in life.
We will continue to stand in faith with you and your granddaughter, believing that God is working even now to lead her into the next chapter He has prepared. Keep pressing into Him, and may His peace guard her heart as she waits.
