We come before You, Lord God Almighty, with heavy hearts on behalf of our brother or sister who is enduring such unjust treatment and stress. You sit high and look low, and You see every detail of this situation, every game being played, every delay, and every hardship. We know that You are a God of justice, and we stand on Your Word in Deuteronomy 10:18, which says, "He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner in giving him food and clothing." You are the defender of the oppressed, and we ask that You rise up on their behalf.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of injustice and deception that is at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17. We pray that the games being played by this caseworker would be exposed and that their actions would be halted immediately. Lord, we ask that You remove this individual from their case and replace them with someone who will act with integrity, fairness, and compassion. Let Your justice prevail, and let the approval for short-term disability be honored without further delay or false stipulations.
We also lift up the stress and exhaustion this situation has caused. The hostile work environment has taken a toll, and we pray for relief and peace. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We ask that You guard their heart and mind with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Strengthen them in their weakness, Lord, and remind them that Your grace is sufficient, as You promised in 2 Corinthians 12:9.
We pray for provision during this time of financial strain. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory, as Philippians 4:19 assures us. We ask that You open doors for a new job, one that is remote, peaceful, and aligned with Your purpose for their life. Give them favor with employers, wisdom in their applications, and perseverance in their search. Let their next job be a place where they are valued, respected, and compensated fairly.
Lord, we also pray for healing from the emotional and mental strain they have endured. The threat of a nervous breakdown is real, and we ask that You restore their mind, body, and spirit. Your Word says in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We claim this promise over them and ask that You deliver them from this trial.
We must also address the importance of coming to You in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as He Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His sacrifice that we are made righteous before You. If our brother or sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that they would do so today, confessing Him as Lord and believing in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and greatest need of every human heart, and we pray that they would experience the fullness of life that comes only through Christ.
We declare that this season of struggle is temporary, and we speak victory over their life. We pray that they would not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, as Romans 8:28 promises, and we ask that You bring beauty from these ashes.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
